Until they sat down, the two of them didn’t know what had happened, but looking at the glances between Chris and Jessica, they felt like they had fallen into some kind of trap.

Jaden whispered to Collin, “You didn’t sign a servitude contract, right? Do I have to work for Jessica from now on?”

Collin smiled and shook his head. “It wouldn’t make sense if she wanted Hurricane Media.”

“So what are those two laughing about?”

Dinner was quite lavish, and looking at the table full of dishes, the two of them felt even more nervous.

“What’s going on with you guys? Jessica, you’re not pregnant, are you?”

Jessica said, “What kind of good news is that? Of course not. Today is a good day for you. Chris and I just invited you over for dinner because we were worried you’d be too excited.”

Before the meal began, Chris handed the paternity test result to Collin.

“I’m sorry for taking your hair without your permission. The other hair sample was given to me by Captain Felton. According to the test results, the owner of the other hair is the sister you’ve been searching for all these years.”

Upon hearing this, Collin and Jaden were stunned.

They both looked up at Chris.

Seeing Collin’s eyes slowly redden, Jessica poured him a glass of red wine.

“Take a look first. Here are some recent photos of your sister. Maybe she looks a bit unfamiliar to you.”

The kinship confirmation on the result was absolute truth.

The photos showed Mandy’s daily life, many taken abroad.

“She is…”

Jessica said, “Coincidentally, she’s Mandy, the girl who was recently kidnapped and rescued by Roy. According to Mandy’s foster parents, she was found near Tenalit when she was three years old, sitting alone crying, with no one else around.”

Feeling Collin’s body start to tremble from excitement, Jaden quickly pressed his shoulder and lowered his voice, saying, “We found her. We found her.”

Collin’s voice choked with sobs, “Is she… alright? Roy brought her back, right? Does she know?”

“Mandy doesn’t know yet. She got very sick soon after being taken to her foster parents. She lost all memories before she was three and doesn’t even know she was found. The good news is she’s lived happily all these years. Her foster parents have only her and treat her very well. We haven’t told Mandy about this yet. She just came back and needs counseling.”

Collin nodded quickly. “Yes, don’t scare her. I… I’m okay. As long as she’s found and well, even if she can’t recognize us, that won’t be a problem. When can I go see her?”

Chris gently advised, “We thought it would be better to wait until the kidnapping case is settled. Mandy’s psychological assessment isn’t finished yet. We don’t know if she suffered trauma from the kidnapping. Don’t rush.”

That night, Collin drank quite a lot, finishing a whole bottle of red wine.

Jaden remained calm and didn’t drink, and it was Jaden who drove them home.

Collin held Mandy’s photos, crying one moment and laughing the next, unsure of what to say.

Jaden and Chris struggled to help him into the car and closed the door.

“Thank you so much.” Jaden stood straight and reached out to shake Chris’s hand. “You’ve fulfilled his wish. Collin has always felt guilty about losing his sister. He blamed himself for it. But now, he’s finally found her.”
