Chapter 233

Actually, even Nina couldn't be this tough.

The entertainment industry was very complicated. Sometimes, during business gatherings, if the sponsors especially asked for some people to keep them company, Nina would find a few celebrities who were willing to take the job. No companies would completely refuse to arrange for celebrities to accompany others.

Jessica never bowed to anyone. She could allow the artists under her to be mediocre, to miss opportunities because they refused to follow the rules, but at least, no one under her would be treated unfairly.

They were all women, and what Jessica could do was to hold up a protective shield for them. Because of this approach, it unexpectedly caused quite a stir, and the biggest wave was the joining of the top celebrity, Blake Somerfield. Blake had been discovered by a talent scout and entered the Hall Group's entertainment department at the age of 13, debuting after several transitions and becoming a superstar after 15 years. All fans who knew Blake also knew that just a few years after debuting, he had been forced to sleep with someone. Back then, Blake had no one to turn to. He had endured humiliation and hardship to reach today, and with his current status and identity, no one could trouble him anymore. He had established his own studio for many years but still resolutely joined the Wilder Group to contribute to the Wilder Group's entertainment department. With Blake, the Wilder Group was almost comparable to FN.

"Mr. Somerfield, I am your agent, Indya." Jessica specially appointed the public relations director, Indya, as Blake’s agent. Blake also had an agent himself, but Indya's role as the nominal agent was to handle public relations, and only public relations for Blake. The first time these two met was in the Somerfield Group's car park. Blake was about to leave when Indya had just come to work. Indya was always flamboyant, charming, and beautiful, with long hair and a red dress, her bright, sparkling eyes shining despite the tiredness surrounding her, still facing everyone with the most proud posture. Glancing at the time, Indya simply walked over and shook Blake's hand. "Sorry, I have a meeting to attend. You go ahead, we'll meet when there's time."

With that said, her phone started ringing non-stop. "I'm coming! I told you yesterday I'm negotiating about the Montvue Tower project, didn't you say I could have the morning off? Are you a skinflint, Jessica?"

Blake’s agent, Sam Greenwood, walked over and said, "She's on a first name basis with the CEO of the Wilder Group, looks like she has a good relationship. Indya's reputation in the circle is soaring; it's said there's no public relations problem she can't handle. Having her serve you alone shows how much the Wilder Group cares about you."

Even after Indya's figure disappeared long ago, her lingering fragrance remained in the car park. Only after a long while did Blake withdraw his gaze and give a grunt.

"Go check out Indya's situation for me," Blake said after getting into the car.

Sam already pulled out his phone without looking up. "What, are you worried Indya has other motives?"

"No, I want you to look into her personal life – like, does she have a boyfriend?"

Sam paused mid-press, feeling speechless. Blake had debuted for 15 years. Except for the first two years when he was forced into relationships, he had always kept himself clean. He had countless female fans but never contacted any of them and rarely accepted gifts. Why would such a person suddenly ask about someone else's personal life? This wasn’t a miracle – it was… the first time he had a crush.

"I don't think you can handle Indya. She has a unique personality. You probably won't be able to grasp her.”

Though he said that, Sam had already started looking into Indya.
