We can only go in the next two days.” She walked over to Chris and didn’t care that her hair was still dripping, snuggling into his arms. “It’s okay, don’t worry. “How about I take two days off and go with you?” he asked, lowering his head.

Before signing the document, Chris said, “Help me check the recent weather conditions. Jessica will go on a four-day business trip to Montvue Tower tomorrow. I want the weather details for all four days.”
Francesca looked out the window behind Chris and saw the dark clouds. “If I remember correctly, it’s going to rain the next couple of days. The ground is slippery, and many places outside have already raised warnings. Montvue Tower is in the wilderness after all. Does Ms. Wilder really have to go tomorrow?”
Francesca shared the same concern as Chris. But Francesca understood that once the business trip date was set, it was basically impossible to change it. Changing dates required coordination from many people.
“Forget it, you can go now. Tell Jake not to come at noon today. I will leave work early.”
“Okay.”
Jessica was alone at home and felt a bit lonely. There were no meetings today, and she woke up naturally at 10 o’clock. After eating the breakfast Chris had left, she began pacing around the house.
