Episode 137
Dwelling on her estranged husband was pointless.
At the entrance to the Ripples Complex, a Ferrari gleamed under the afternoon sun, parked with the casual arrogance of ownership. Albin emerged; the passenger door swung open, and a vibrant girl, seemingly sixteen or seventeen, bounded out with youthful energy. She lifted her face, eyes sparkling with excitement, gesturing toward the apartment complex.
“This is perfect!” she exclaimed. “It’s right in the city center, just a street from my school! You won’t have to worry about my safety. Once I move here, I’ll definitely focus on my studies.”
The girl was his cousin, sent by his mother after persistent arguments against dormitory life. Albin, tasked with helping her choose an apartment, seemed slightly bored.
“I’m not holding my breath for your academic dedication,” he replied absentmindedly, his gaze drifting across the neighborhood. The area was quite pleasant. Suddenly, a familiar silhouette caught his attention.
His cousin continued chattering. “Albin, this place was recommended by my schoolmate! She knows lots of celebrities, and I’ve heard quite a few stars live here…” She paused, noticing his distraction. “Hey, are you even listening? What are you looking at?”
