Startled, Elizabeth froze as Ruby pounded urgently on the door. "Elizabeth, you won't believe this! The Norris Group is calling! Do you think they're trying to hold us accountable?" Elizabeth's fury simmered as she flung back the covers and stomped to the door.

She hadn't considered they would contact Ruby after she'd blocked Elijah and Oliver's numbers. Her rage intensified. The audacity of overshadowing her, tarnishing her reputation, and then denying her a chance to respond was infuriating.

She yanked the door open, snatching the phone from Ruby's hand. "Hand it over!"

Ruby complied, gently offering the phone. "Just listen to what they have to say, okay? Try to stay calm."

Elizabeth clenched her jaw, but curiosity won. After a deep breath, she said in a cold tone, "What do you want?"

"Mrs. Norris," Oliver began politely, "Mr. Norris is aware of the trending topics. He's asked me to handle it, so it'll be resolved shortly and won't cause you any trouble."

Elizabeth stood rigid, momentarily paralyzed. She struggled to comprehend Elijah actively working to erase the hashtags targeting her. A fissure seemed to form in her icy composure, causing her to clutch the doorknob tighter.

Her frosty exterior showed signs of thawing, however slight. She swiftly suppressed these emotions, shaking her head. Deep down, she knew this wasn't about her well-being. They were still legally married, and she upheld the Norris family's dignity as Elijah's wife. His actions were likely motivated by preserving the family's image, not her personal welfare.
