Chapter Twenty-Five: You know what could stop this.

It has been a few days since I shared my proposal with Alyssa, and work since the last time she was at my place. When I went after her, she’d locked the bathroom door, so I missed a kiss. I am so damn sexually frustrated. I wish she would—I promised I wouldn’t. He still hasn’t given me an answer. I haven’t seen her outside of credible mouth skills. I hoped more would have happened, but I couldn’t get in. Nothing else has happened since then, not even an answer. It is hard for me not to ask about it, but I…

I have a busy day ahead, so I can’t think about it too much. I head back to my office from the bathroom. I stop when I see Alyssa outside my office, but she isn’t alone. She is with Camellia, one of the women who visits when she has particular needs to be fulfilled.

Alyssa is blocking my office door. I walk closer but stay out of sight; I am curious about what they are discussing because they look annoyed.

“I told you he isn’t in his office right now. He doesn’t have any free time today,” Alyssa says firmly.

“I don’t care. He always makes time for me,” Camellia replies smugly.

“Not today, he doesn’t. Bye now, it is time for you to leave,”

I’m hearing a hint of jealousy in her voice. I think so. I smirk.

“Do you know who I am? I could get him to fire you for being rude,” Camellia hisses.

Alyssa scoffs, “I don’t care who you are. You could try but fail. You do realize you aren’t the only woman who comes in and out of his office, right? You aren’t that special, sweetie.”

I chuckle at Alyssa’s quick wit.

Camellia huffs, “You have no idea what you are talking about. You are nothing but his assistant. You mean nothing to him, and you are the one who isn’t special. I could make sure you are replaced,”

I will not allow her to talk to Alyssa in such a tone.

“Camelia, that is enough,” I snap.

She flings herself around to face me, “She is trying to stop me from seeing you.” She whines like a child.

“I don’t have time to see you. You have no right to come in and talk to Alyssa like that. You don’t work here. It is time to leave. I have too much to do.”

She pouts, sauntering over to me. She places her hand on my chest and bites on her lower lip, “Come on, you can make some time for me. You know it will be worth it.” She purrs.

I glance over my shoulder at Alyssa, who doesn’t look too amused by the interaction. I wrap my hand around Camellia’s wrist and remove it from my chest. “No. Leave, now.”

“Fine.” She snarls and storms off.

I take my place in front of Alyssa, “I am sorry she spoke to you like that.”

She shrugs, “I have dealt with worse, but you really have terrible taste in women. They are all horrible.” She says and disappears into her office.

I follow her into her office and close the door behind me, flipping the latch up to lock it. Alyssa eyes me suspiciously from her desk, wondering why I have locked it. I stroll confidently to her desk, leaning forward and resting my hands on it.

“If I didn’t know any better, I would say you got jealous out there,” I say smugly.

“No reason to be jealous.”

She screws up her face and rolls her eyes, “No, I wasn’t, I don’t get jealous. I have no…”

I laugh loudly and walk around to her. I roll her office chair back to give me space to stand, “You are a terrible liar.”

She jumps to her feet, trying to get level with me, but she must be at least a foot shorter than me, maybe a little less.

She crosses her arms over her chest, “I am not lying. Please, explain to me why I would be jealous?”

I quickly grip her hips, turn her around, and prop her on the desk, spreading her legs apart and taking my place between them. She moans with my actions.

I place my hands on her thighs, “Because even with your stubbornness, you want me. You won’t admit it, but you do. The thought of me with someone else is one you don’t like. In the year you have worked for me, not once have you acted the way you did towards one of the women who came to visit, which tells me things have changed.”

I speak every word confidently because I know I am right. I can see through her façade. I massage her thighs and watch her reaction. She closes her eyes and moans deeply.

“Eyes on me, Miss Corbet,” I demand.

She shudders and quickly opens them as I ask, “You are delusional. Though, I don’t think I can be with a man, especially knowing he is screwing multiple women at one time.” She breathes out.

I caress her face, inching closer, “You know there is one solution to such a problem.”

“Oh, tell me, please,”

Every word drips with sarcasm.

You could say yes to my agreement. If you agree to my terms, you won’t need to worry about other women because you would be the only one I would be with.” I say.

“You are making it sound like a damn contract.” She groans,

“You could call it that. A lot needs to be discussed, but I need you to say yes before I can go into detail.”

“Wyatt, what is the big secret? You can’t expect me to agree to something; I know nothing about it. You have to understand why I am skeptical about it. Not only because you are my boss but also because of how secretive you are. How am I supposed to trust you if you can’t be open and honest with me?” she says softly.

She does have a point. I have been secretive. I have my reasons. I need to ease her into it to see if she is suitable and what I need. I don’t want her to be freaked out and run without even considering it. It has happened before.

I sigh, “I know I am secretive, but it isn’t because you can’t trust me, Alyssa, I promise. It is because there is a lot to take in. I would rather ease you in than throw you in at the deep end because if I do, you will leave.”

“Why is all such a secret?”

“Because it needs to be that way. Only certain people are allowed to know. It is all a little taboo for most. Alyssa, I know it is a lot, but I need you to trust me, okay? I promise, if you agree, it will be worth it. You will enjoy it, and you will always be safe with me. I meant everything I said to you a few nights ago, kitten.”

She bites on her lower lip, “Taboo? When you refer to that, what part of the relationship best suits the word?”

“Most of it. A lot of it is sexual, but it isn’t all about that. Yes, it is a huge part of what I need, but there is more to it. Give me a chance. We can take it step-by-step; if it turns out not to be your thing, that is okay. You tell me no, and we leave it there. I will stay away.” I promise.

She stares at me intensely, trying to work out what she wants. Her eyes are full of curiosity and wonder.

“What you need. What about my needs?” she whispers.

“Those will be taken care of, sweetness. I promise. I told you what I would do for you the other night if you agreed to be with me.” I remind her.

She nods and takes a deep breath. “Can I have until the end of the day to think about it?”

“Of course.”

“Okay, but if I agree, you must give me something, Wyatt. I get to ask a couple of questions, and you will be honest with me.” She says firmly.

“That is only fair.”

I have no idea what questions she will ask. I don’t know if she has any idea what I am into. I will find out later.

“I think so.” She smiles.

“Great. Come to mine for dinner tonight and we can talk?” I ask, hopeful.

“I can do that. Now, we should get back to work.”

I steal a quick kiss before she can protest. She giggles into my lips. I part from it first.

“Yes, we have a busy day.” I agree.

I don’t want to fall behind because doing so would mean being stuck here late, which is not what either of us wants.
