Chapter 110
โI justโฆ I justโฆ My mom and I couldnโt afford a grave, and my dad wouldnโt pay either, so this was all I could do. Iโm sorry, really sorry.โ
Alarieka calmly asked him, โHas your dad come to see you?โ
Rhett gave a bitter little smile and shook his head. โNo, he already had a son with another woman out there.โ
At the end, Alarieka threw out a sentence: โDonโt worry about Calvin throwing out your momโs ashes; Iโll take care of it and make sure sheโs buried properly.โ
Rhett suddenly looked up, the six-foot-tall manโs eyes turned red in an instant, and his lips trembled.
โAlarieka, Iโm really sorryโฆโ
After that, Rhett admitted to the police everything Calvin had told him to do. He explained exactly what happened, including how Calvin arranged for him to work as a waiter at the Argentโs villa, where and when he groped Roschelle, and even how he framed Alarieka.
When she came out of the police station, she ran into Kieran, Roschelle, and Calvin coming in.
Calvin looked really down and walked in with his head hanging.
On one side, Roschelle was held by Kieran with his arm around her shoulders. She raised her hand to cover her mouth and sobbed, her eyes all red, looking as innocent and adorable as a little bunny.
Kieran had dark eyes, pressed his thin lips together, and looked serious.
Alarieka stood across from them, looked up at them, and pulled up the corner of her mouth: โThe truth is out; Iโm really glad.โ
โBut when I looked at you, why do you seem unhappy?โ
Calvin suddenly looked up, his eyes red, and glared at her: โAlarieka, donโt be so cocky. Did you really think I was about to go in?โ
He grinned wickedly, โJust watch, Iโll be out soon.โ
Before Alarieka could say anything, Roschelle suddenly rushed over, grabbed both of her arms, and looked at her with red, swollen eyes, acting all pitiful.
โAlarieka, it was Calvin who let you down; Iโm sorry. Please donโt blame him, okay?โ
โBlame me, it was all my fault. Calvin just cared about me too much; he didnโt mean itโฆโ
Alarieka gave a sarcastic smile and pulled her arm out of Roschelleโs hand.
โThis wasnโt on purpose, so what counts as on purpose?โ
At this moment, Roschelle was like a weak, boneless willow leaf, and the slight force from Alariekaโs hand made her lose her balance and fall straight into Kieranโs arms.
โKierโฆโ
Roschelle called out miserably, hugged Kieranโs waist with her soft arms, and cried so hard her shoulders shook. She looked really pitiful.
Kieran just pressed his lips together and frowned, looking like he felt sorry.
If some clueless passerby walked by, theyโd definitely think she was bullying this crying, pitiful woman.
Alarieka walked forward and gave the three people opposite a sarcastic look, checking out their faces.
โRoschelle, you couldnโt not have known about Kieran making me kneel at the door of the hospital room that night, right?โ
Alarieka said, โWhy are you guys pretending to be innocent?โ
Before the truth came out, Roschelle and the others were all innocent.
After the truth came out, Roschelle still cried like an innocent victim and kept acting like she was the perpetrator.
That was awesome.
Calvin spat and his face twisted a bit: โRose, donโt apologize to her. I didnโt do anything wrong; she deserved it. Otherwise, why would I only go after her and not anyone else?โ
Jaylene couldnโt take it anymore. She pointed at Calvin and yelled, โYouโre so damn petty and you've got such a bad temper. I bet you only wear pants so people donโt find out how small you are, right? Always with that middle part, your face is so oily you could fry food on it, and every time you shake your head, dandruff goes everywhere. Itโs disgusting.โ
โIf I were you, I wouldnโt have dared to come out of the house. Your skin is as thick as the soles of your shoes. No height but still tried to fit in!โ
Jaylene talked super fast, just rattled on and on, and cursed Calvin so hard that he could only open his mouth and couldnโt actually say a word.
Alarieka also turned her head, looking shocked.
โYouโฆ you were actually really good.โ
After Jaylene finished cursing, she took a deep breath, and her cheeks turned red from all the yelling.
She grabbed Alariekaโs wrist: โCome on, donโt stand with these losers; theyโre lowering our class.โ
Alarieka didnโt expect these people to feel guilty about her or make it up to her; she just wanted to clear her name.
She let Jaylene pull her away, brushing past Kieran.
When she turned her back to Kieran, Kieran suddenly said, โSorry.โ
