Chapter 182

Listen to this chapter:

โ€œWhy did the piano break? I thought about it for a long time and still couldnโ€™t figure out how you managed itโ€“everyone else used it and it was fine, but when it got to me, there was a problem.โ€

Patrickโ€™s eyes paused.

โ€œLater I thought about it, then I figured it out. It wasnโ€™t you who did it; you asked someone else to do it.โ€

Patrickโ€™s face changed.

Alarieka went on, โ€œBefore me, the piano was fine. When it was my turn, it broke. So only the person before me could have done it.โ€

โ€œThe contestant in front of me, thatโ€™s the one I helped fix clothes for, Skylar Croix, right?โ€

Alarieka wondered, would a woman who was so hostile to her turn nice and even speak up for her after she helped mend her clothes?

The chances werenโ€™t that high.

There was another possibilityโ€ฆ

That woman could use the impression of speaking up for her to minimize her own suspicion of breaking the piano.

Behind me, Patrick chuckled, โ€œAlarieka, you werenโ€™t as dumb as people said; you actually had some brains.โ€

โ€œToo bad,โ€ Patrickโ€™s smile grew wider, โ€œyou didnโ€™t have any evidence. Saying this without any proof is slander and defamation.โ€

About Skylar, as long as you checked the security cameras carefully, you could find out what Skylar did to the piano.

But right now, Alarieka really didnโ€™t have any proof that Patrick was the one who told Skylar to do those things.

It shouldnโ€™t have been hard to find this kind of evidence. They just needed to check if there were any sudden big deposits under Skylarโ€™s name or her friendsโ€™ and familyโ€™s names, or if there were some extra fixed assets, and they could have found the evidence.

But with Patrickโ€™s methods, these deals just got buried deep, and it was really hard to find them.

If they really started an investigation, Iโ€™m afraid the results wouldnโ€™t come out even after the game.

But the semifinals were about to start soon, and Alarieka didnโ€™t have the extra energy to call the police or investigate.

Even if they really found out, with Patrickโ€™s family background, he wouldnโ€™t be affected.

The preliminary round was over, and she was already on the list for the semifinals. Patrickโ€™s tricks didnโ€™t work, so Alarieka didnโ€™t want to dwell on it anymore.

Not wanting to dwell on it didnโ€™t mean it was over.

She couldnโ€™t get justice from Patrick on this, but she could punish Patrick in other ways.

Alarieka said, โ€œI really didnโ€™t have any evidence.โ€

She turned around and looked at Patrick with a calm gaze.

โ€œBut-โ€

To put it simply, Patrick was just a hopeless romantic.

He could study medicine for Roschelle, could go abroad for years because of her, and came back just because he missed Roschelle too much. That showed feelings were probably the biggest thing for Patrick.

Roschelle was Patrickโ€™s biggest sore spot.

Alarieka took out her phone and opened the recorder. Roschelleโ€™s voice came out of the recorder right away.

โ€œKier, were you jealous?โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t be jealous, you know I only liked you. Me and Patrick really were just friends.โ€

โ€œIn my heart, you meant the most. Patrick could never compare to you.โ€

To make Kieran happy, Roschelle said a lot of things and pretty much put Patrick down to the ground.

Alarieka saw with her own eyes as Patrickโ€™s face got worse and worse, and finally turned gloomy. He clenched his fists, and the veins on the back of his hands bulged.

The thing Patrick hated most was Kieran, who took Roschelle away.

Alarieka kept adding fuel to Patrickโ€™s anger: โ€œPatrick, I feel sorry for you. All these years, not only did Roschelle not see you, she even put you down just to please Kieran.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s enough!โ€

Patrick growled and raised his hand, about to grab Alariekaโ€™s phone.

Alarieka pulled her phone back and turned to dodge Patrickโ€™s hand.

Chapter 1#2

She said softly, โ€œPatrick, even if you donโ€™t want to listen to the recordings, these recordings are real; you canโ€™t avoid them.โ€

Patrick chuckled softly, โ€œAlaricka, you were good; you really were good.โ€

He looked up, the corners of his eyes red, his gaze obsessed.

โ€œAlaricka, you really did piss me off.โ€

โ€œI wasnโ€™t going to let you go.โ€

Alaricka raised an eyebrow, โ€œEven if I donโ€™t let you listen to the recording, would you really let me go?โ€

Patrickโ€™s eyes paused.

Alarieka was being sarcastic, but only he knew that there was a time when he really wanted to let Alarieka go.

But looking back now, I was really ridiculous back then.

Roschelle was his reverse scale; she was the white moonlight that he couldnโ€™t let anyone else touch.

That clueless Alarieka actually dared to use Roschelle to piss him off, so she better be ready to face his wrath.
