Chapter 70
That was interesting.
The next class was still with the same teacher, and Alarieka still didnโt plan to look up. She just heard a lot of studentsโ voices.
โWhy was there a different teacher?โ
โTeacher, you came to the wrong class.โ
โDidnโt this teacher used to teach AP courses?โ
Alarieka finally looked up and realized this teacher was actually her old chemistry teacher from her previous class. Her eyebrows frowned right away.
This teacher taught really well and had led several classes to be number one during exam week. The school always put her in classes with good grades. There was no way they would let a teacher like her show up in a class the school had already given up on.
The teacher frowned seriously, tapped the desk with a book, and spoke in a heavy tone. โStop arguing, this was the schoolโs decision. From now on, Iโll be teaching your chemistry class. In my class, you arenโt allowed to mess around, sleep, or talk louder than me. You have to strictly follow the class rules.โ
โAbout my class, you can listen or not, but if you donโt listen, you have to show me your grades. If you canโt, then sorry. Please ask your parents."
โEverything I just said, you guys have to write it down carefully, donโt let me catch you slacking.โ
After the announcement, the whole class was silent. They probably didnโt expect to meet such a strict teacher right before their rushed graduation. For them, it wasnโt like a timely rain, but more like a punishment from heaven. A few classmates even turned to look at Alarieka with resentment in their eyes, just staring right at her. Alariekaโs face looked a bit grim.
This was probably Kieranโs doing. How could the school be dumb enough to transfer important teachers to a class with such bad grades? Rather than saying it was the schoolโs decision, it was more like Kieranโs decision. As soon as she transferred, the teacher transferred too. No one would have guessed this connection.
Just like I guessed, this teacher was really good at teaching. Even when teaching new stuff, Alarieka looked up during the third round of review. After a day of classes, the students in this class were already numb. All the teachers in the class had been changed, all replaced by better teachers, who were super strict. These playful students were basically suffocating in their seats.
Alaricka looked down and pressed her lips together, slowly packing up her things. Jaylene didnโt know when she walked up to her, and her tone was even worse than in the morning, really unpleasant.
โAlaricka, was it you who brought these teachers here?โ
Alarickaโs eyes were clear, and she spoke firmly: โNo, I never did that.โ
Jaylene sneered, โYou say itโs not, so itโs not? We never planned to take the test seriously. You showed up and acted all special, pushed us into this. Iโm telling you, you wonโt have an easy time from now on." After dropping that harsh line, Jaylene turned and left with her crew, looking pissed off even from behind. Alaricka felt a wave of irritation.
Although there were still three months left before exam week, she had already pretty much remembered and written down the questions from last yearโs exam week in her notebook. To be honest, she could take the exam right now.
Why did Kieran do all this? Regretted it and wanted to make it up to her? In short, she really didnโt want to get involved with Kieran. Kieran did all this, but she didnโt feel grateful. She just felt like Kieran was really powerful and she couldnโt get away at all. She always felt trapped and uncomfortable.
Alaricka was in a bad mood, full of resentment, and walked out of the school. But her footsteps suddenly stopped.
There was a Rolls-Royce parked at the school gate, it was Kieranโs car, and Kieranโs assistant was standing by the car door. If it was just like this, Alaricka wouldnโt have felt anything. But the most important thing was, Jaylene was standing in front of the assistant and saying something to her.
The Alarieka alarm rang loudly. Did Kieran find out about Jayleneโs talent earlier than in the last life? She almost immediately walked up to Jayleneโs side.
Jayleneโs tone wasnโt humble or flattering at all, just curious: โThis car of yours must cost at least five million, right-โ
The assistant saw her, his eyes lit up, and just as he opened his mouth, Alarieka immediately cut in:
โJaylene, you were here too, what a coincidence!โ
Jaylene glanced at her, then at the school gate, and her eyes suddenly turned contemptuous.
