Chapter 1031

“So what?” Liza said, hands on her hips. “I’m the daughter of the Eaton family. What can he do to me?” With a word from her father, Drake has to bow and scrape in front of her.

Debra’s face paled. ‘Liza has no idea how dangerous the world could be outside her sheltered life.’

“Society isn’t as simple as you think,” she said. “This place is not your turf. Drake could easily harm you here.”

“He wouldn’t dare.”

“Why not?”

“Because of my dad.”

“He is not here.”

Liza thought for a moment. “Anyway, he wouldn’t act against me. If he did, my dad and brother would not let him off.”

Knowing how stubborn Liza was, Debra didn’t advise her further. As long as Liza stayed with her, Drake probably wouldn’t act.

Before long, the humming sound of an engine came from outside. Debra checked the time. Only ten minutes had passed since that call. Drake was faster than she had expected. His car screeched to a halt, and he stepped out.

“Where’s Kale?” Drake and Kale were usually inseparable.

“He has something to do.”

“What could he possibly have to do besides your bidding?”

“No more stupid questions.”

“Alright, I’ll stop asking.”

Debra threw her hands up, while Drake looked around the warehouse. “Where are the machines?”

Debra stepped aside. “There they are.”

Drake was stunned. “How did you get so many of them?”

“I bought them,” Debra replied, “with your money.”

Drake scowled. “Are you out of your mind? Why buy so many? Do you know how much they cost?”

Debra waved her hand. “It’s just a few million. Come on. Don’t be stingy.”

“Hey,” Liza interrupted, annoyed. “I’m still here, you know.”

She hadn’t expected them to be so close. ‘Since when?’

Drake glanced at her, his usual coldness returning. “Miss Eaton, what are you doing here in this dump?”

“I go wherever I want,” Liza retorted. “You left Orkgate, and so can I leave my city.”

Debra rolled her eyes. “Come on. Seamar City is not a dump. Everything here is expensive.”
