Robert glanced at everyone in the room and turned to leave.

For three straight days, Lester was frozen out, while operations continued as usual.

Far away on a beach, Debra took off her sunglasses and stood up from her lounge chair. On the sand, she looked up and asked, “Are you heading back, Garland, who had been playing already?”

“Yeah, it’s time to go.” Debra casually tossed her sunglasses aside.

In the distance, Marion pulled up in a car. He walked over to Debra, draped a jacket over her shoulders, and said, “I’ve booked the tickets. Mrs. Houston, your vacation’s over.”

“Are you going back to Seamar City? Wonderful!” Garland jumped up for joy.

He’d been stuck here, dealing with all the expenses while the artists and staff lived it up. Finally, he could go back and continue to slack off at the Potter Mansion.

Debra scanned the staff, who were still goofing around. “Guys, it’s time to head back. There’s a ton of work waiting for us. Let’s get back on track and stay focused.”

The artists, who had been living it up these past few days, raised their champagne glasses and shovels. “Don’t worry, boss. Watch how we turn things around.”

Debra smiled, satisfied with their response. ‘Theda might be good at cultivating talent, but there is a difference between training someone and keeping them around.’

She and Theda were worlds apart. Theda saw her people as pawns, while Debra had a team she could count on.

As the McKinney Group resumed normal operations, the online buzz hit a new high. Fans at the airport held up banners, eagerly welcoming their favorite stars home.

Debra, wearing a mask and a cap, tried to keep a low profile, but Marion stood out so much that people mistook him for some unknown celebrity. All the cameras turned on him.

He frowned and pulled Debra close to him.

Several women muttered among themselves. “Ugh! He’s got a girlfriend.”

“Why bother showing up when you’ve got a girlfriend? So annoying!”

Debra laughed, not expecting Marion to get side-eyed one day.

“What’s so funny?”

“I’m laughing because you gain a bunch of fans by just walking down the street. Maybe you should come to work for me tomorrow. I might make some extra cash.”
