Chapter 1104
Debra didnโt understand why Andrew gave her such valuable gifts. They were excessive as wedding presents.
The next morning, they were sprawled on the bed in different positions. Garland and Randy were sound asleep on the nearby sofa.
The first light of dawn shone on Debraโs eyes. She woke up groggily and saw the bed covered in opened gifts. Erica and Liza were lying next to her. She remembered they had spent the night opening gifts and eventually fell asleep from exhaustion.
โMarion?โ She looked around but only saw Marionโs jacket draped over her.
An attendant knocked on the door, the noise waking the others in the room. Randy jumped up from the sofa. โIโm done opening gifts. No more.โ
Erica rubbed her eyes and got up from the bed. โWhat are you shouting for so early in the morning?โ
Debra spoke toward the door. โCome in.โ
The attendant entered, followed by a staff member pushing a food cart. โMadam, weโre bringing you breakfast per Mr. Houstonโs orders.โ
โBreakfast? Where is he?โ
โMr. Houston went out early this morning, saying heโd be back in the afternoon.โ
Erica frowned, asking Randy, โWhere did he go?โ
โIโve no idea. He probably felt miserable spending his wedding night opening gifts,โ Randy replied, rubbing his temples. He had drunk too much the night before, and the hangover was hitting him hard.
Debra looked at the food on the cart and frowned.
Marion was with Drake at the poker table. He checked his watch. โDebra should be awake by now. If youโre not going to talk, donโt waste my time.โ
Drake signaled Kale to stop him from leaving. โNo rush, Mr. Houston. Heโs not here yet.โ
Just then, the door to the private room burst open, and a man in a black shirt walked in. Seeing his face, Marion furrowed his brows.
Drake said, โMarion, our feud is one thing, but I attended your wedding yesterday. Today, with the wedding over, we should settle our scores. Robert, donโt you agree?โ
Robert stood in front of Marion. โLong time no see.โ His eyes suddenly glinted with coldness. He pulled out a dagger and lunged at Marion.
Marion quickly stepped back, but it was too late. The blade slashed his arm, leaving a bloody gash.
Startled, Drake stood up. โStop!โ
But Robert showed no mercy, each move aimed to kill. Marion, realizing the danger, quickly distanced himself from Robert.
