Chapter 1123

โ€œWhat do you mean my chef canโ€™t make fish soup?โ€ Drake was confused. Then he realized that Kale must be behind this. His face darkened as he called out, โ€œKale, come in.โ€ Kale knew he couldnโ€™t keep this a secret for long, but he hadnโ€™t expected it to be exposed so quickly.

With his head down, he entered the room. โ€œBoss.โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s going on with this fish soup?โ€ Drake demanded.

โ€œI saw how you craved the soup, so I asked Mrs. Houston to make it,โ€ Kale explained.

โ€œAnd you used my name?โ€ Drake asked incredulously.

โ€œYes.โ€

Drake wanted to curse, but with Debra still around, he held back. โ€œGet out.โ€

Kale turned to leave when Drake called out again, โ€œYou too.โ€

Debra was speechless, but she hadnโ€™t planned to stay anyway. Watching her go, Drake felt a heaviness in his chest. Kale, already at the door, tried to reason, โ€œBoss, actuallyโ€ฆโ€

โ€œShut up and get out!โ€ Drake roared.

Kale quietly closed the study door behind him. Suddenly, an angry voice rang out. โ€œWhere is he? Drake, show yourself!โ€

Liza stormed in, followed by Garland, who cautiously glanced back every few steps. Lizaโ€™s shouting freaked him out, and he hurriedly covered her mouth. โ€œFor heavenโ€™s sake, keep it down. This was Drakeโ€™s territory. If he got angry, they could be in serious trouble.โ€

Liza pushed his hand away. โ€œWhat are you doing? If we donโ€™t make some noise, how will Drake come out?โ€

Before Garland could respond, Drake appeared on the second floor, his gaze cold and piercing. He sensed trouble and demanded, โ€œWhat brings you two here?โ€

Garland was frightened, but Liza raised her chin. โ€œWhere are you hiding Debra and Marion? Hand them over!โ€

Garland gasped, regretting ever coming with her. If they died here, there would be no one to claim their bodies.

โ€œThey are here,โ€ Drake admitted, โ€œbut they came of their own will. If you want them to leave with you, youโ€™ll have to convince them first.โ€

โ€œFree will?โ€ Liza was taken aback. She had assumed they were being held against their will.

โ€œUm, I donโ€™t think Debra and Marion were forced,โ€ Garland interjected nervously. โ€œMaybe we made a mistake. You see, weโ€™ve been in Orkgate for so long. Even Randy and Erica have returned to Seamar City. Maybe itโ€™s time for us to go too.โ€
