Chapter 113

โ€œWill do,โ€ Jordan shouted at the group. โ€œWhy arenโ€™t you leaving yet?โ€

Carrieโ€™s expression shifted. โ€œMr. Andrew Potter, your family sent the invitation. Weโ€™ve just arrived. Why are you asking us to leave? Is this how you treat your guests?โ€

Debra thought the girl remarkably blunt. No one dared be so bold with Andrew.

โ€œWould you like to experience the Potter familyโ€™s hospitality?โ€ Andrew raised his eyes, his gaze deep and unfathomable. A faint smile played on his lips, yet his words sent shivers down everyoneโ€™s spines. Several black-clad bodyguards immediately stepped forward, seizing the people and forcibly removing them. Carrieโ€™s high heels clattered to the floor as she struggled. โ€œLet go! What are you doing? Let go!โ€

The hall quickly fell silent, as if the commotion had never happened.

โ€œSorry for the disturbance,โ€ Andrew said, his gentleness restored.

Debra couldnโ€™t help but assess Andrew. In her past life, she hadn't interacted with him much, but seeing him now, she understood why the Potter family thrived under his leadership. He was truly unfathomable, and that very quality was terrifying.

โ€œMr. Houston, letโ€™s talk elsewhere,โ€ Andrew said, his gaze settling on Marion.

Erica whispered to Debra, โ€œAndrew has always been mature beyond his years. Though weโ€™ve known each other since childhood, weโ€™ve barely exchanged a few words.โ€

โ€œAre Marion and Andrew close?โ€ Debra asked.

โ€œKind of. Iโ€™m not quite sure,โ€ Erica replied, pausing. Recalling Carrieโ€™s outburst, she added with dissatisfaction, โ€œMarion remained silent throughout the chaos. Even Randy spoke up. I donโ€™t know what was going on with him.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s not the way to pursue a girl,โ€ Debra chuckled. Marion had likely remained silent because he knew she had orchestrated the events. Revealing his identity wouldn't have been as entertaining. He was waiting for her to speak.

Debra leaned lazily against the table. It was a shame Sheila had escaped; Debra hadnโ€™t even had a chance to speak before the drama ended. But it was alright; Sheilaโ€™s lies had been exposed. What happened would inevitably become gossip, reaching Juanโ€™s ears.

In the hospital corridor, Joe hurried back to the ward after a phone call. โ€œSir, there seems to be trouble at the Potter familyโ€™s house.โ€

Juan gestured for silence. Glancing at Sheila, still unconscious on the hospital bed, he whispered, โ€œLetโ€™s talk outside.โ€

โ€œOkay.โ€ Joe hesitated before leaving.

Juan closed the door. โ€œGo on.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s Mrs. Nichols.โ€

Juan frowned. โ€œWhat trouble has she caused again?โ€

โ€œMiss Milesโ€™ classmates accused her of being an escort, saying many unpleasant things. Mr. Andrew Potter promptly ejected them.โ€

Juanโ€™s frown deepened. โ€œAccusing Debra of being an escort? Would she just stand there and be accused?โ€
