Chapter 296 + 25 BONUS
Stanleyโs chair screeched across the floor as he abruptly stood, his eyes blazing with indignation. โDebra, what kind of tone is that? Who do you think you are, questioning my mother?โ
Debra cast a cold, unyielding glance at them. โI am the head of the Frazier family. I have every right to question her, and even if I were to send her to prison, it would be within my authority.โ The weight of the Frazier family name and its generations-old traditions hung heavy in the air, causing Stanley to turn pale.
Rosalie tried to smooth things over. โItโs a misunderstanding, Debra.โ
โA misunderstanding? Werenโt you trying to send me to Juanโs bed?โ
Rosalie was left speechless. That had indeed been her plan, but Debraโs unexpected return had thrown a wrench into her machinations.
Debraโs voice was as cold as ice. โIโm lenient enough to forgive you a couple of times. This time, I wonโt let you off the hook.โ
As she pulled out her phone, Stanley lunged forward. โWhat are you doing?โ
โCalling the police,โ Debra replied. โWhat youโve done today is considered kidnapping. I let you off last time considering your young age, but that doesnโt mean Iโm weak and easily bullied.โ
Rosalieโs eyes widened in alarm as she turned to her son. โDonโt let her call the police, or weโre finished.โ
Stanley, fueled by desperation and anger, tried to snatch Debraโs phone away. Ralph heard the commotion and came downstairs. His brow furrowed in confusion as he took in the chaotic scene.
โWhatโs going on? Why is everyone fighting?โ
โDarling, Iโฆโ Rosalie fumbled for the right words.
Just then, Stanley picked up an ashtray from the table and smashed it against Debraโs head. Debra staggered, caught off guard by the brutal assault. She turned to face Stanley, her vision swimming as she took in his twisted, grimacing face.
โStanley! What are you doing?โ Ralph shouted, rushing towards Debra. Rosalie, too, was shocked by her sonโs actions. โStanley, youโฆโ
Ralph reached Debraโs side, helping her up from the floor. He glared at Stanley, his voice firm and commanding. โGo call an ambulance. Now!โ But Stanley was beyond reason, his eyes filled with a wild, uncontrolled rage. He lashed out at Ralph, striking him on the forehead. Blood immediately began to stream down Ralphโs face.
Rosalie looked at her son in disbelief. โStanley, what are you doing? How can you hit your father?โ
โHe told me to call an ambulance, which would get me into trouble. Mom, you have no idea what I went through in prison. You donโt understand. I finally got out, and he handed over the family to Debra, leaving nothing for me,โ Stanley barked. โIf we donโt send Debra to Juanโs bed, will the Nichols family let us off? What is Debra compared to Juan? She canโt possibly fight him. Itโs better to go all in,โ Stanley replied fiercely.
Rosalie was horrified, but she couldnโt deny the grim truth in his words. If they couldnโt get Debra to Juan tonight, they would be finished.
