Chapter 391
After adjusting the meal according to the recipe, Hannah brought it to Debra and sat across from her.
โAccording to the nutritionist, you often donโt get enough sleep and have nightmares. Can you tell me why?โ
โDid Andrew send you to ask this?โ
Hannah merely smiled, neither confirming nor denying Debraโs suspicion.
โIf thereโs an issue, let him ask me himself,โ Debra said, taking a spoonful of oatmeal. Nowadays, nothing she ate or drank seemed to matter much.
Hannah observed, saying, โYour health is fine, and your body proportions are perfect. You have a pretty face, and you look great on camera. These meals are just to help improve your sleep. Trust me, in a few years, youโll look even better than now.โ
โThanks,โ Debra muttered, though her tone suggested she didnโt believe a word of it.
When she finished her breakfast, Hannah stood, gesturing for her to follow. โLetโs go. Iโll take you to the practice room.โ
As they exited the staff cafeteria, a group of female trainees emerging from the trainee cafeteria watched them, their eyes filled with envy and disdain.
โSuch open privilege. Hannah is going a bit too far, donโt you think?โ
โDebra has just been trending for a few days. Look at how sheโs acting.โ
โFreya, are you just going to let her walk all over us like this?โ
Freya frowned deeply. โLetโs go.โ
In the practice room, Debra found herself alone. Hannah made an excuse to leave, and Debra knew exactly what was coming. Sure enough, Freya and a group of trainees burst into the room.
Eve confronted her directly. โDid Hannah take you to eat something special?โ
Debra rubbed her temples, a sigh escaping her lips. She had expected this confrontation and was prepared to face it head-on.
โYes, she did. What do you want to do about it?โ
โI want to hit you.โ
Eve raised her hand, but Ashley quickly intervened. โDonโt hit her. If Hannah finds out, youโll end up in the brig.โ
โWhy canโt I hit her? Sheโs enjoying the privilege. Arenโt you angry?โ Eve shouted defiantly. โMy dad is the chairman, and that couldnโt even get me any privilege. Who does she think she is? This is infuriating.โ
She valued fine dining above all else. At home, she had access to all sorts of delicacies. But since joining this training camp, she had been subjected to a strict diet of boiled eggs and vegetables. She had called her dad to complain, but he couldnโt arrange special meals for her. In contrast, Debra, as soon as she arrived, got to enjoy this privilege. This hit Eveโs sore spot, and she was determined to make Debra pay.
Freya stepped forward, saying, โDebra, since weโre all training in the same camp, you should tone it down. Donโt break the rules like this.โ
Debra responded indifferently, โFirstly, I didnโt ask for privilege. I didnโt want to eat with Hannah; secondly, Iโve been very restrained; thirdly, I make the rules here.โ
Her statements were arrogant, and this was exactly what Andrew wanted. She decided to play along.
Freyaโs face darkened, and Ashleyโs expression turned stormy. โWhat big talk! Do you think this is your company? Did you fund this program? Who are you to make such a bold statement?โ
Debra looked up, meeting her gaze. โYouโre right. I funded thisโฆ
