Chapter 424
The trainees at Potter Entertainment were no strangers to luxury, and Eve, the richest of the bunch, was particularly smitten with men like Edgar. At the news of his arrival, they whipped out their makeup kits, touching up their lips and powdering their noses. Debra frowned in contemplation, not believing it was a simple visit. She wondered if it was connected to the news sheโd posted yesterday, but it would be reckless if Edgar came to confront her there at Potter Entertainment. Before she could think further, everyone had rushed downstairs. Eveโs father, Henry, was beaming like heโd won the lottery. First Juan, and now Edgar. Potter Entertainment was on a roll.
โMr. Odom, all our trainees are present,โ he announced, gesturing to the gaggle of starry-eyed girls. He had gathered only the girls, but Edgarโs gaze zeroed in on Debra. โMs. Frazier.โ She met his stare, her voice cool. โHello, Mr. Odom.โ Envious eyes swiveled towards Debra.
โArenโt there male trainees here?โ Chace asked. Henry blinked, taken aback. โMale trainees? What for? Theyโre just arm candy for rich ladies.โ But since it was Edgarโs request, Henry could not reject it. He signaled to his manager, who scurried off to round up the boys.
โHave them relax,โ Chace added. โMr. Odom wants to see their natural state.โ
โSure,โ Henry agreed.
Debraโs suspicion radar pinged. What is Edgar up to?
The male trainees filed in, led by a young man with an air of calm detachment. Debra recognized him as Oscar, the captain of the male trainees. Sheโd seen him on the training ground; his prowess was impressive. Oscarโs eyes flicked to Edgar, a slight frown creasing his brow, but he didnโt halt. Tomas nudged him. โThat guy looks quite like you.โ

Another boy chimed in, โDonโt be ridiculous. Thatโs Edgar Odom, the Booton tycoon.โ
โBut they do look alike,โ Tomas insisted.
Edgar watched them, a smirk playing on his lips.
โThese are our male trainees, and this is their captain, Oscar. This is the captain of our female trainees, Freya. They are the pillars of the crew,โ Henry introduced.
Unhappy about it, Eve grumbled, โThere are more key figures than just them.โ
Henry silenced her with a glare.
โNot bad,โ Edgar stepped forward, clapping Oscar on the shoulder. โRising stars.โ
โYeah. Every one of them is meticulously chosen,โ Henry crowed.
Debra, however, caught the subtle tension between Oscar and Edgar. She wondered if they knew each other.
