Chapter 762
Yvonne raised an eyebrow and walked over to Drakeโs side. โWhat a small world! Are you here to try on clothes, too?โ
The saleswoman jumped in quickly, sensing the tension. โYes, Mr. Lowe is here to try on a suit he ordered.โ
From the fitting room, Debra pricked her ears to listen.
Yvonneโs eyes swept toward the fitting room. โWhy didnโt you go change? Are you waiting for someone?โ
โWhat do you think?โ Drake smirked, his arm snaking around her waist.
She fell on his chest, her cheeks reddening. โNot here in public.โ
โYou stalked me,โ he said.
โNo, I came to order some new dresses. I canโt stand anyone wearing my clothes,โ she paused, throwing her arms around his neck. โDid you take care of that pianist?โ
โI did.โ
โGood. You will pay for my new clothes, right?โ
โPick whatever you like. Iโll cover all expenses.โ
โArenโt you so sweet?โ
As she turned to browse, her gaze landed on a mannequin. โWhereโs the dress that was here?โ
The saleswoman stammered, โIt hasnโt been displayed yet.โ
โOr did someone else take it?โ Yvonne strode over to the fitting room, yanking open the curtain to reveal nothing but a dress.
She blinked in confusion. The saleswoman hurried over, trying to cover up. โIโm sorry. I forgot to take the dress back. Iโll display it right away.โ
โNo need. I think it looks nice. Iโll take it.โ
โButโฆโ
โWhatโs wrong? Donโt tell me someone else wants it and you canโt sell it to me.โ
The saleswoman glanced at Drake, who nodded subtly. โOf course not. Whatever you want, Miss Sharp.โ
โThatโs more like it. I never fail to get what I want.โ Yvonne cast a meaningful glance at Drake and added, โWrap this dress for me. I wonโt try it on.โ
โRight away, Miss Sharp.โ The saleswoman quickly packed up the gown.
Yvonne walked back to Drake. โIโm free tonight. How about I play a few songs for you?โ
โAnything you like,โ he replied.
Yvonne pouted. โThen I wonโt go. Iโll save myself the effort.โ
โThatโs fine. Iโve already asked Kale to hire another pianist, so you wonโt have to play at the casino anymore,โ he said indifferently.
Yvonneโs expression fell. โWhy? Am I not playing well?โ
Drake explained smoothly, โIโm just worried about tiring you out. A fair lady like you is not fitted for that kind of labor.โ
His indulgent tone cheered her up. Meanwhile, underneath the fitting room, Debra frowned. She was surprised to find a secret tunnel.
