Chapter 808

โ€œGet on the boat,โ€ Juan pulled Debra toward the beach. She asked, โ€œDid Juan send you here?โ€

โ€œGet on the boat first,โ€ Juan shoved her aboard but didnโ€™t follow. โ€œYouโ€™re not coming?โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll come after I take care of things here,โ€ Juan replied, turning to the personnel. โ€œRemember your orders. Make sure Ms. Frazier reaches Seamar City safely.โ€

โ€œYes, sir.โ€

Juan gave Debra one last look, his expression unreadable. Then he turned and disappeared into the night, leaving her with a thousand unanswered questions.

โ€œMs. Frazier, letโ€™s get into the cabin.โ€

Debra stared out at the empty road, deep in thought.

Drake must have learned that Juan had taken her away. If Juan stayed, he would be hunted down.

As the boat set off, Debra asked, โ€œAre you working for Andrew?โ€

โ€œYes, Mr. Andrew Potter sent us to escort you back to Seamar City.โ€

โ€œDid Marion come to Orkgate too?โ€

โ€œHe arrived today. He and Mr. Nichols worked together to get you out of Orkgate amidst the chaos.โ€

โ€œHow many people did Marion bring with him?โ€

The crewman remained silent, his eyes fixed on the dark sea ahead. Cold sweat formed on Debraโ€™s back. โ€œDonโ€™t tell me it was just those men who stormed the casino.โ€

Though they were armed, that was Orkgate, Drakeโ€™s stronghold, where his men were countless. It would be hard for Marion to escape unharmed.

Chaos continued at the casino. Drake stormed into the now-empty hall. The chandeliers had been smashed. Chips and broken glass were everywhere on the floor.

โ€œBoss, be careful,โ€ Kale warned as they walked in.

Drake ignored him, pushing forward. He had waited years for Marion to come to Orkgate, only for Marlon to pull off a trick like this.

โ€œWhere are they?โ€ Drake roared.

โ€œBoss. We found our men in the storage room,โ€ someone shouted.

Drake rushed to the storage room. His men were bound and gagged, tape over their mouths. On the floor lay a note, scribbled with bold, mocking words: [Iโ€™ve taken her. Thanks for the hospitality these past few days.]

Reading Marionโ€™s handwriting, Drake almost burst with fury. Marion had played him, and it was a sting to his pride.

โ€œBoss! Juan is back.โ€

โ€œHow many people did he bring?โ€

โ€œHeโ€™s alone.โ€

โ€œAlone?โ€

Drake stormed outside, where Juan stood surrounded by his men.

โ€œMr. Nichols, you took my person. Donโ€™t you think you owe me an explanation?โ€ Drake snarled, his hand ready to draw his gun.

But Juan remained unfazed. โ€œMr. Lowe, interested in making a deal?โ€
