Chapter 816
Debra looked at Andrew.
โIs Marion coming back tonight?โ
โThatโs what youโre focusing on right now? Do you understand the battle youโre facing? If you canโt conquer this addiction, it will destroy you.โ
โIโll make it through.โ
โDo you have any idea how many lives the Lowe family has ruined with their drugs? Itโs a miracle if someone breaks free. What makes you think youโll be any different?โ
โIf I wasnโt determined to fight this, I would have stayed with Drake instead of coming back.โ She paused, looking down at her arms. โI knew from the moment he injected me that I was in trouble.โ
She had known ever since the night Drake kidnapped her. He had drugged her, betting that she wouldnโt dare leave his side because of it.
โDrake always underestimates women. He thinks he can control me with drugs and make me obedient and dependent on him. Iโll beat this and prove him wrong.โ
Andrew studied her for a moment and then nodded. โI will provide you with the best medical support. Youโll stay here during your recovery.โ
โThank you. And Marion?โ
โIโll handle him.โ
Andrew understood her concern. If Marion found out, he would definitely lose it.
Debra sighed softly, relieved. The drug Drake had injected her with was diluted, and it didnโt take effect until about a week later. The trigger had likely been the coffee she drank that morning.
If she could survive the next few months, she would be okay.
โThereโs one more thing I need from you.โ
โName it.โ
โUse my bank card to buy drugs from the Lowe Group.โ
Drake didnโt know she was trying to quit. She needed him to think she was still dependent on him.
Andrew understood her plan immediately. โLeave it to me. Iโll take care of everything.โ
Across town, at the Eaton family villa, Liza threw a newspaper down in front of Cathryn.
Chapter 816
โDebraโs a lot tougher than she looks. She made it out of Orkgate alive.โ
Cathryn read the news and turned pale.
Liza was frustrated. โWhat is Drake doing? I need to call my dad and ask him to look into this.โ
Cathryn grabbed her arm nervously. โLiza, there must be some mistake. Thereโs no way Debra could have survived Orkgate. But if she did and found out I helped Drake, would she tell Marion? Heโd never forgive me.โ
Liza snorted. โMarion promised to take care of you. Debra doesnโt stand a chance against you. Marion would never choose her over you.โ
