Chapter 844

The lollipop dangled from Marion’s mouth like a cigar. While the guests were confused, he casually raised his hand, and several guards immediately rushed inside. Juan’s bodyguards were good, but they couldn’t compare to these people, who were trained according to military standards. Tension rose in an instant. The crowd fidgeted, afraid of getting caught in the crossfire.

“I’d like to see who dares to walk out of this door today,” Marion said calmly. His guards drew their electric batons, and the crowd gulped nervously. Ever since Marion arrived in Seamar City, he had kept a profile so low that people had forgotten how he had made his name known. Even though he was now the head of the Houston Group and had toned down his behavior, he still could do things recklessly.

The choice between money and life became clear to everyone present. Those who had been swayed by Juan’s words now dared not move again. Their choice became clear, and Juan was not delighted. Marion walked up to him and said confidently, “Today is the day of my engagement to Debra. Are you staying to celebrate with us, Mr. Nichols?” Juan saw the mockery in his eyes and responded, “No, thanks.”

“Since you’re neither interested nor invited, please take your men and leave,” Andrew stated from upstairs. Despite his disability, everyone respected him. No one had ever dared to cause trouble here until Juan.

Juan responded, “Since it’s your request, Mr. Andrew Potter, alright.” Marion walked back to Debra’s side. “Someone, show our guest out.” As the security guards escorted Juan out, none of the guests dared to leave with him. This was a clear slap to Juan’s face and a challenge to his status.

Juan didn’t make another scene. He simply said to his men, “Let’s go.” The bodyguards followed behind him, but he suddenly stopped at the door. Without turning back, he said to Marion and Debra, “On behalf of the Nichols family, I congratulate you on your engagement. I will send my regards on your wedding day.”

After Juan left, Andrew signaled to Barton, who quickly wheeled him into the elevator. The guests were finally relieved. Their last bit of doubt was dispelled by Andrew, who announced after coming down, “I apologize for the disruption earlier, but after tonight, we will all be partners. You’ll enjoy all the necessary convenience.”

Randy muttered unhappily, “What a buzzkill Juan is!”
