“What did you say?” Liza was shocked.

Cathryn was also taken aback. She had no idea that Drake was taking Debra to a banquet. Debra was Marion’s wife now. She didn’t know what Drake was up to.

“This is outrageous! How could he do this?” Liza gritted her teeth. “Cathryn, did you see it? Debra is nothing but a seductress. She has Marion and still wants to seduce other men. I’m going to tell my dad and have him cancel my engagement to Drake.”

Cathryn was still processing the news when Liza stormed off, leaving her behind. Cathryn realized that if Liza told Bert, he would bring people to the banquet. In front of everyone, Drake wouldn’t dare to kidnap Debra, and she would be saved.

“Liza, wait! You can’t go.” Cathryn rushed after her, but Liza was already speeding away in her sports car.

Cathryn panted because of her heart problem, grabbing the nearest security guard. “Liza has learned about Mr. Lowe’s attendance at the banquet with Debra and is going to tell her father. You need to go there and inform Mr. Lowe.”

“Yes, right away,” the security guard replied, hurrying off.

Drake’s car pulled over to the side of the road. He removed the blindfold from Debra’s eyes and unlocked her handcuffs. “You can get out now.”

Debra stepped out of the car and looked around, taking in the surroundings.

“Boss, is it safe to remove her blindfold now? What if she recognizes the place?” Kale asked nervously.

“It’s fine. Mrs. Houston has never been here before. She won’t recognize it,” Drake said dismissively.

Debra listened to their conversation, her eyes scanning them. “I’m still here. Could you at least try to be a little more discreet when talking about me?”

“No need,” Drake replied, striding ahead without waiting for her.

Debra wasn’t bothered by his arrogance. Drake believed she wouldn’t recognize the location. Little did he know, Marion had taken her on a tour of the city on their first day there. She knew all the important landmarks, including the largest and most prestigious hotel in the area. Marion had mentioned that the Legacy Hotel was legendary to the local people. The Eaton family had tried to buy it multiple times but had been rejected by the mysterious owner. Turned out it was owned by the Lowe family.

Debra glanced at Drake, her mind racing. With his intelligence, he couldn’t manage such a grand hotel or refuse the Eaton family’s offers. There had to be more to the story.

Just then, Drake’s voice interrupted her thoughts. “Are you planning to escape by walking so slowly behind me?”
