Chapter 218

A commotion erupted around Evelyn, some onlookers offering sympathetic glances. They believed her time as Brian's girlfriend had ended. The prince, however, seemed far more interested in a servant girl.

Nearby, Lily, enjoying the spectacle, was stunned. Grace and Brian? What was happening? Was Brian interested in Grace? He certainly appeared to be protecting her. And Jason? Did he know about Brian and Grace?

"Oh my God, what a turn of events! The prince and the extra…" Evelyn's assistant exclaimed, sneering. "Evelyn's in trouble. The crown prince hasn't dumped her! Maybe she deliberately pranked the extra because she knows the extra's involved with the prince?"

Lily, however, lowered her eyes, lost in thought.

Evelyn, initially dazed, snapped back to reality. The mixture of sympathy and mockery felt like a slap in the face. Wasn't she supposed to be popular? Shouldn't countless envious eyes be upon her? Instead, she felt like a clown, her glory vanished, reduced to a pitiful figure.

She almost screamed that she was Brian's girlfriend, but instead, she fled, face flushed.

The assistant director looked blankly at the director. "What… should we do?" Evelyn was the second female lead; how could they film without her, especially with the prince involved?

Who dared interfere?

The director sighed heavily. "Let's shoot the scenes without Evelyn first!" What other choice did they have?

Grace, carried to the lounge by Brian, was in pain and embarrassed. Her injured hand prevented her from pushing him away, though the fact that she was being carried added to her discomfort. "I hurt my hand, not my foot. I can walk," she protested.

"I know," he replied lightly, continuing to carry her.

Grace was speechless.
