Chapter 297

He wanted her to see only him.

"If you really must know, you might as well wait with me. If my people find Lina Sweeney, they'll inform me immediately," Jason said.

That was fine with Grace, butwait! Where should she wait? Grace blinked. Five minutes later, she knew: in Jason's room.

It wasn't the first time she'd been in his room, but it was the first time she'd entered through his front door, rather than the connecting door between their rooms.

Inside, Jason immediately removed his coat and took out a cell phone, placing it on a coffee table. Grace was stunned. It was the same old phone she'd bought him for $1,500. Many people had better phones.

Did he keep it with him constantly? If not, how had she reached him so quickly?

Before she could finish examining the phone, she saw him begin to undress. Grace's face flushed crimson. "Whywhy are you?"

"I'm changing clothes, of course," he said, raising an eyebrow. "You used to watch me change, didn't you? Is that a problem now?"

She choked. She had seen him change in their rental house, but only out of sweaters or jackets. Usually, he changed his underclothes in the bathroom.

He was now down to a thin shirt. If he continued Grace subconsciously turned her back. Out of sight, out of mind. After all, she was in his room.

Then, she heard rustling. He was probably taking off his clothes. She wondered how long it would take. Just then, a pair of arms wrapped around her, hugging her from behind. She was enveloped in a familiar embrace.

Grace was shocked. All she heard was Jason's elegant voice saying, "Won't you look at me, Sis?"

"There'sthere's nothing to see," she muttered.

"You used to say I looked good and always wanted to see more of me," Jason said.

Grace wanted to go back in time and bite her tongue off. Why had she said that?

"Are you done changing?" she asked, changing the subject.

"Can't you see for yourself?" he replied.

She was speechless. His hands were on her shoulders, forcing her to turn. As she faced him, her hand unconsciously touched his chest. Grace gasped.
