Chapter 344

Grace said to Jason, "Wait here while I get the medicine." She hurried from the mourning hall.

Jason lay on the sofa. "Wait here" She had said the same thing earlier, when she went out to get him medicine late at night.

He would wait. He would wait for her return.

Grace hurried to the residence's iron gate. A streetlamp illuminated the deliveryman's bewildered face.

The deliveryman hadn't expected to deliver medicine to such a grand mansion.

"You ordered this, Miss Cummins?" he asked.

"Yes," Grace replied, taking the package. She thanked him and ran toward the mourning hall.

The deliveryman scratched his head, still bewildered by the immense mansion.

In the Reed Residence security room, several guards exclaimed, "Oh my God! She got out in one piece!"

"Did she orderfood?" The surveillance footage was unclear; they only saw Grace receiving a package.

"Young Master Reed didn't kick her outand is going to eat with her?" someone marveled.

Grace's presence in Reed Residence indicated her special status with Young Master Reed. However, access to the mourning hall was strictly limited. Besides the longtime Reed family servant, only Young Master Reed and Old Master Reed were permitted entry.

Now, a woman had been inside. When they first saw her enter, they'd joked she'd be ejected promptly, perhaps even banished from the residence the next day.

Instead, she'd remained for a considerable time, exiting only to collect her delivery. They were astonished.

Unaware of her elevated status among the security guards, Grace focused on returning to Jason.

Back in the mourning hall, she found Jason huddled on the sofa, eyes closed, his pale face stark against the deep red stain on his lips. Closer inspection revealed a trace of blood; he'd likely bitten his lip to suppress the pain. A thin sheen of sweat covered his forehead.

Grace said, "Jason, the medicine's here. Take it." She poured warm water, then unpacked and prepared the medication according to the instructions.
