Chapter 100

Harrison held a hot towel to his face while Lauren searched the first-aid kit for medicine to treat his bruises.

"As if it wasn't your fault!" Lauren exclaimed angrily. "We couldn't reach you last night. We thought your uncle was up to no good again, so your father went to confront him, and they got into a fight!"

Nash had already explained the situation to Hera's parents on their way to the company.

Hera approached the desk, apologizing guiltily. "Dad, I'm sorry I worried you." A warmth filled her chest alongside her sorrow over her father's injuries. She knew she would always be her parents' treasure.

"By the way, Hera," Lauren said, helplessly applying ointment to Harrison's bruises, "we've decided to postpone your birthday celebration for a few days."

Hera was stunned. "Why? I've already notified several classmates and teachers."

Harrison sighed. "Your uncle wants to move Helena's birthday celebration to the same day. It's clearly an attempt to bully you. If we can't afford to offend them, why don't we just avoid them?"

"Why should we avoid them? If she celebrates her birthday and I celebrate mine, we won't be in anyone's way," Hera retorted angrily.

Lauren thrust the ointment bottle into Harrison's hand. "Do it yourself." Turning to her daughter, she explained, "Your uncle's family has stronger connections within the family than we do. If all their relatives attend Helena's birthday instead of yours, will you be happy? Will you even be able to celebrate?" Lauren didn't want her daughter to endure a disappointing birthday.

Hera pursed her lips, conceding sadly, "Alright then."

"I don't think you should postpone Hera's birthday," Nash interjected.

Lauren and Harrison both looked at him.

Hera forced a smile. "It's okay. It's just a postponement. It doesn't matter if we celebrate a few days later."

"They moved Helena's celebration forward to bully you. If you postpone yours, they'll gain an advantage," Nash insisted.

Lauren understood. "But if Hera and Helena celebrate on the same day, Hera's party will be dismal!" she lamented.

Harrison added, "Not only that, Kai's celebrating Helena's birthday at the Chateau Hotel. The old man will definitely be there."

Hera's eyes widened. "The Chateau Hotel?"

That was the Skye family's property in Capiton, the most luxurious hotel in Jonford. Even the most basic membership was inaccessible to the Lewis family.

Nash smiled subtly. "Hera, would you like to hold your birthday party at the Chateau Hotel?"

A shiver ran through Hera. She shook her head. "I don't…" The thought was absurd.

The Watsons were Jonford's wealthiest family, possessing at least one Black Diamond VIP card. Even if she could afford the 140 million dollar membership fee, it would be humiliating. Furthermore, she couldn't afford it. She would only receive 56 million dollars after completing her project with the Drake Group, a project that would take at least a year.

"Nash, can you book a room at the Chateau Hotel?" Lauren asked cautiously, suspecting Nash's true identity. Could his question imply access to the hotel?

Nash nodded. "I have a friend who works there. Getting a private room won't be a problem."

Hera quickly said, "It's okay! Let's not bother anyone. Even if we got a room, the Watsons would have a larger one. We'd only be humiliating ourselves."

Lauren agreed. "That's true…"

Hera concluded, "So, it's decided. My birthday will be postponed to the eighth of next month."

Seeing her daughter's resolve, Lauren remained silent, lowering her head and sighing.

Meanwhile, at the Hill family villa…
