Chapter 62

In the luxurious villa's living room, a thin, middle-aged man sat on the sofa. His short gray hair and thick stubble framed a face whose cloudy eyes held a fierce intensity. He slowly opened them as he heard footsteps outside the door. Nash met his gaze, and immediately felt dwarfed. The man's presence was overwhelming, like standing before a god; confident, domineering. He was the Warden, commander of millions in the Northern Territory, a stark contrast to Nash, a Grim Reaper lurking in the shadows. Despite Nash's power, the Warden's aura far surpassed his own.

Nash clasped his hands. "Greetings, Warden!"

The man smiled. "No need for formalities. Please, sit."

Nash nodded and sat beside him. Zakariah and the other two men hesitated. The Warden waved a hand. "You may sit as well. Treat me as an ordinary person; there's no need for such ceremony."

They sat. Grant then put down his phone and whispered, "Warden, Harold brought two formidable martial artists!"

The Warden's face darkened. He looked at Stellar. "Didn't I say one was sufficient?"

Stellar bowed. "Warden, the Watson family disregarded cost. They paid for the Smiling Grim Reaper."

The Warden sighed helplessly. "Send them in."

Stellar glanced at Grant, who quickly exited and returned with Harold and the two martial artists.

Harold clenched his fists. "Warden, why didn't you inform me you were coming to Jonford? How is the Zell household superior to mine?"

Grant retorted, "Mr. Watson, how dare you? How is my house inferior?" The fact that the Watsons owned a Royal Bay villa didn't diminish the Zell family's own opulent property. For the Warden's safety, Grant had chosen this twenty-eight-million-dollar retirement villa, comparable in luxury to the Watsons'.

Stellar murmured, "Enough arguing..."

Harold and Grant fell silent. Stellar eyed the two bodyguards Harold had brought, frowning. "Are these two reliable?"

Harold replied enthusiastically, "Absolutely! This is Iron Kick George Yancy. His unparalleled leg strength, enhanced by Thomas King's prosthetic legs after a training accident, is legendary. One kick could kill an elephant!"

Iron Kick, initially tasked with protecting his grandson, Kai, had been reassigned upon learning of the Warden's need for protection.

George clasped his fists excitedly. "Greetings, Warden!" He hoped to gain favor and a position within the Northern Territory.

The Warden smiled and nodded. "Killing an elephant with one kick is quite impressive!"

George trembled with excitement at the praise. "Thank you, Warden!"

Harold beamed, introducing the second man. "This is Janson Gyane, deputy sect master of the Bagua Division, a master of Bagua Zhang, and equivalent to a level-eight grandmaster!"

Janson greeted the Warden respectfully.

"Impressive!" the Warden exclaimed. "A level-eight grandmaster is rare in the Northern Territory! Such individuals are invaluable assets to our country's defense."

Janson bowed. "Warden, we will protect you at all costs."
