Chapter 93

Nash's gaze flickered slightly. He heard the sounds of fighting on the phone. Did Lauren and Harrison go to Hubert's house? After what happened before, Harrison and his wife would likely suspect Hubert's family. Harrison usually controlled his anger, but even he would fight Hubert if his daughter were in danger.

At the Lewis family estate, Herman's blood pressure soared with anger at his two sons. Hubert and Harrison, both bruised and battered, glared at each other, neither convinced by the other's claims.

"How much more unreasonable can you be? Hubert is your elder brother! Respect him as you would your father! How did the Lewis family raise such a scheming man?" Rooney cursed, pointing at a video of Harrison. Her chubby face trembled with rage.

"Elder brother? Bah! You know what you did to Hera. Don't think this is over just because I haven't settled the score yet!" Harrison slurred, his cheek swollen.

"Both of you, enough!" Herman roared.

Lauren quickly picked up a cup of medicinal brew. "Dad, don't be angry. Drink this first!" It was holistic medicine from Nash, designed to quickly restore the old man's memory.

Rooney knocked the cup from Lauren's hand. "You viper! Trying to poison the old man? He's recovering; why does he need medicine?"

"You…" Lauren's expression turned cold. She raised her hand to strike Rooney, but Rooney thrust her face forward. "Hit me! You'll beat me to death, then kill Hubert so you can control the Lewis family assets, won't you?"

Helena stood up. "Lauren, don't push yourself. Don't think your partnership with Drake Group gives you carte blanche!"

Lauren lowered her hand and sat expressionlessly. Helena looked at her battered father. "Grandpa, they must apologize to Dad!"

"Why should we? Hubert struck first!" Lauren retorted coldly.

Helena sneered. "Dad wouldn't have if Uncle hadn't threatened him!"

Herman turned to Harrison. "Harrison, apologize to your brother!"

Harrison was indignant. "Dad, Hubert hired assassins to kill Hera." He refused to hide it any longer. He couldn't apologize to someone who'd tried to kill his daughter.

Herman's expression darkened. "Hubert, what did you do?"

"Dad, Hera is my niece! Why would I hire assassins? Harrison is slandering me," Hubert said, rubbing his swollen face.

Harrison glared. "Hubert, are you even a man? Own up to it!"

Hubert fumed. "Stop framing me! Prove it! I think you hired assassins to harm my daughter! Uncle was almost shot a few days ago, too. I think you did it!"

"You liar!" Harrison glared, his body shaking with anger.

"Forget it. I won't stoop to your level. You don't need to apologize. What matters is Hera is safe," Hubert declared magnanimously. He then looked at Helena and Rooney. "It's late. Let's rest."

"Hubert, what about Helena's birthday?" Rooney asked.

Hubert said softly, "Dad needs rest. We'll discuss it tomorrow."
