Chapter 95

Nash was slightly taken aback. How did Hunter know Skadi had an accident? It sounded as if he believed Skadi was dead. Were the Hills behind tonight's events?

To test his theory, Nash replied: "[Why did you do it?]"

Hunter sent a surprised emoji. After a few seconds, his reply came: "[You know everything?]"

Nash continued: "[Crow told me.]"

Hunter immediately sent a voice message, his voice deliberately softened. "Hera, Skadi is an obstacle to my pursuit of you. I did this to be with you!"

The corners of Nash's mouth twitched. He texted back: "[Alright then. Don't you want photos of my legs? I'll send them later.]"

Hunter was ecstatic: "[Why don't we just video call? It's nighttime anyway.]"

The moment Hunter initiated the call, Nash ended it. Hunter called repeatedly, but Nash rejected each attempt.

"[Hera, why aren't you answering...]"

"[I'm already going to show you my legs. Don't push it!]"

"[Hehehe, alright then. Hurry up! I can't wait!]"

At the Hills' villa, Hunter retrieved toilet paper from his bedside table. Moments later, Hera sent photos. He opened WhatsApp to see a pair of slender, long legs. But why so much leg hair?

"[???]"

"[Hera, why do you have so much hair on your legs?]"

"[???]"

"[Hera?]"

Hunter sent more messages, but Hera didn't reply.

"Forget it. So what if she has leg hair? Once she marries me, I'll take her to the best beauty salon and have her legs shaved!" Hunter muttered, then sent the photos to the company's planning department.

"[Somebody… Please remove the leg hair...]"

Nash cleared the chat, a wicked smile playing on his lips. At that moment, Hera stirred, her hand slapping his abdominal wound.

"Ouch! What the hell…"

Caught off guard, Nash grimaced in pain. The intensity of the pain wasn't simply a matter of his pain tolerance; it was something else entirely. Even Nash couldn't tolerate such sudden, unprepared pain.

Hera slowly opened her eyes. Seeing herself in a man's arms, she sat up abruptly. Nash appeared calm, but beads of sweat dotted his forehead.

Hera thought she was dreaming. Seeing it was Nash, she pinched his abdominal muscles. The corner of Nash's mouth twitched. He pressed her onto the bed, growling, "Stop pinching me. It hurts."

Hera's eyes widened. "Does it? Why don't I feel it?"

"Would you like to try pinching yourself?"

Nash's mouth twitched fiercely. This woman wasn't very bright. How did she become president of Baroque Group?

Hera pinched her arm, wincing. "It hurts. So this isn't a dream!" She looked at Nash in shock. "Did you really rescue me and Skadi? Where are we? Where's Skadi? Is she okay?"

Nash rolled onto his back. Hera quickly got up and looked around, realizing she was in her apartment.

"Skadi is fine. Her grandfather picked her up," Nash replied.

Hera breathed a sigh of relief. "How did you know we were there?"

"I looked for the police," Nash said casually.

Hera noticed the bloodstains on his white shirt beneath his suit. "N-Nash! Your stomach! How did you get hurt?"
