Listen to this chapter:

Charley and Edwin were growing restless. Time was slipping away; others had finalized their designs, moving into refinement. Could Selina have given up?

Impatient, Charley voiced his concern to Trevon. It wasn't disdain; he genuinely hoped Selina would succeed, especially as she was the only woman his brother had ever loved deeply. But with time dwindling, could she possibly make a comeback? A poor showing might reflect badly on Trevon.

"Just wait," Trevon said calmly, exuding confidence. He couldn't fathom Selina's intentions, but he trusted her implicitly. Selina had never let him down.

"Selina is useless," Sara shook her head. She knew Selina's humble background and limited education, but hadn't expected such apparent recklessness. Time was running out; even a last-minute effort seemed futile. Did she intend to become everyone's laughingstock?

Selina had made mistakes, betraying the Harvey family, causing Manuel's detainment and hurting her family. Yet, a wave of disappointment washed over Sara. After all, Selina was her daughter.

Sara had always held a place in her heart for Selina. Had Selina behaved, the Harvey inheritance would have remained intact, and the family wouldn't face this disgrace. Thankfully, she had Ashley, her obedient and sensible daughter. The thought of Selina's failure, however, threatened to overwhelm her.

Just as defeat seemed inevitable, a stir arose. Selina moved.

Slowly opening her eyes, a confident glint shone within. Without hesitation, she picked up her pencil and began working swiftly on her draft. Ashley sighed in relief. "Thank goodness. I almost thought something was wrong with Sister Selina, but it seems she's alright."

"Finally decided not to flop, huh? But what's the point now?" someone commented. Manuel Clark, having completed his design, glanced at Selina with disdain and submitted his work. Derrick followed suit almost simultaneously. The two exchanged tense glances.

In this close competition, submission speed became a critical factor.

Derrick knew Manuel's talent; Manuel had won a jewelry design competition upon entry, proving his skill. Now, representing Clark Jewelry, Derrick faced a formidable opponent.

The four judges evaluated Manuel and Derrick's designs.

"Perfect!" they exclaimed. "Both designs are so distinctive that it's quite a challenge to choose between them."

Their praise was unanimous. Katzen's dream, a spin on the Angel brand, infused with her creative vision, resulted in a striking necklace. Manuel expertly merged Angel's style with his own, creating a visually delightful piece that showcased his theoretical knowledge and talent. Derrick's design was equally exceptional.

Both designs were outstanding, leaving the judges struggling to decide which was superior. Each judge awarded points; both designers scored a perfect fifteen.

Identical scores and near-simultaneous submissions created a problem. Could any subsequent entry surpass them? It seemed unlikely unless a dark horse emerged unexpectedly.

Selina submitted her design around the same time as the others. "They're going to butt heads over this," someone remarked.

"We might need to hold a competition just for the chain runner-up," Timo replied, a smile playing on his lips. "Dual champions. That would mean they could partner with Angel, as long as Clark Jewelry could secure the partnership."

With less than ten minutes remaining, what could Selina possibly design? Trevon witnessed the moment, remembering Selina's past mistakes. He had discarded her once; she'd ended up in his bed.

He'd met her during his studies; she'd become a successful designer, even earning the title of "Rookie King." Numerous jewelry design firms wanted her; she'd joined the newly established Britance. Many attributed her success to Trevon's leadership and investment, but Derrick's efforts and those under his wing shouldn't be discounted. Trevon worried that Selina's actions might cast a shadow on their integrity.

The other designers submitted their designs; only four minutes remained. Trevon watched the time, yet Selina's calm composure calmed his anxiety. His gaze lingered on Selina; a look of deep affection was evident. He believed he'd fallen deeply.

Selina worked effortlessly, her skill impressive under pressure. Her design, completed without a computer, was audacious.
