Listen to this chapter:

"That's not what I meant," Frank coughed, blood staining his lips. "You're my sister, the most important one."

Noelle sighed, handing him a tissue. He offered a weak smile. "I knew you cared."

Noelle stared out the window, a bitter irony twisting her gut. She'd once clawed for her brothers' attention, giving everything, only to be ignored. Now, having let go, Frank clung to her. Humans were pathetic.

At the hospital, Frank was whisked away for tests. As Noelle turned to leave, a doctor stopped her. "You're family? Please, convince him to take his medication. His condition could worsen, even lead to cancer."

Noelle's face remained impassive. "If he doesn't care about his health, who will?"

Lucas stormed in, Xenia trailing behind. "Noelle, how can you say that? He's like this because of everything he's done for us!"

Noelle tossed the medical report at Lucas. "Oh? You preach about responsibility? How did you miss his deteriorating health? You see him every day!"

Lucas stammered, "I... I didn't notice."

Noelle sneered. "Typical. Instead of excuses, convince him to see a doctor." She walked out.

"She's getting more arrogant," Lucas fumed.

Xenia sighed. "Lucas, she's a rising star at Firestorm. Her gaming skills are legendary."

Lucas scoffed. "She's still Liddell family. I have her contract. If she pushes me, she'll regret it."

Xenia's eyes widened. "What contract?"

Noelle wasn't as untouchable as she seemed.

"Where's Noelle?" Frank asked, being wheeled out.

"That ingrate left," Lucas snapped. "Why do you care?"

Xenia stepped forward. "Frank, are you alright? Why didn't you tell us?"

Frank offered a weak smile, disappointment etched in his eyes. "It's nothing." He'd hoped Noelle would stay. Xenia saw it, unease settling in her stomach. Even now, his gaze was fixed on Noelle.

Jordan Barkstone, Frank's secretary, rushed up. "Mr. Liddell, a partner wants to terminate the contract. Problem with our firewall software."

Xenia frowned. "Can't the tech team fix it?"

"They've tried. They're threatening to pull out."

Frank's smile vanished. "Noelle was in charge." He hadn't asked for her help.

Lucas scoffed. "I'll handle it, Frank. Don't worry."

Xenia's jealousy simmered. "If I can help, I will," she offered, her smile tight.

Frank sighed. "I didn't realize how much I relied on Noelle until she was gone."

Xenia's smile faded. What about her? Did she mean nothing?
