Before Freya could speak, he had already hung up. Turning to the meeting rooms, she told Joy she had something to attend to and left. She added, "Keep me updated on the meeting's progress and any issues that arise; I'll handle them. This way, we won't slow down everyone else's progress." Joy replied readily, "Got it. Go on then."

Half an hour later, Freya drove back to the villa. Matteo's usual car was parked outside; he should have already returned, she thought. And sure enough, upon entering, she saw him sitting on the sofa with Grandma Wilson and Isabella, chatting. He was the first to notice her arrival, but he said nothing.

Grandma Wilson, smiling, stood up. "Mag, you're back?"

"Mm," Freya nodded. Grandma Wilson patted her hand gently. "You must be hungry. The meal is almost ready; let's eat first."

"Okay." This time, Matteo didn't need prompting. He immediately sat beside Freya. Grandma Wilson served food onto Freya's plate and sighed, "Look at you, you've lost weight again. How come you never take care of yourself properly?" She glared at her grandson. He remained unaffected, but without prompting, he automatically served more food onto Freya's plate.

Freya said, "Thank you."

Grandma Wilson continued, explaining that she'd brought many supplements and would have someone sort them out after dinner for both Freya and Matteo. Freya, unwilling to refuse, nodded repeatedly. Grandma Wilson, having visited Y City in her youth, was an expert at making nourishing soups. After dinner, she insisted on personally supervising the preparation of the supplements. Freya wanted to help, but Grandma Wilson pushed her out of the kitchen.

Freya sat back on the sofa. Isabella and Matteo were also there, either working on their phones or playing with mechanical puzzles. The room was quiet. Then, Johnny sent Freya a message; she checked it and replied immediately. So engrossed in her work, she didn't notice Grandma Wilson leaving the kitchen until Matteo put down his phone. Freya quickly put down her phone and said, "Grandma."

Grandma Wilson glanced at the three of them, sighed, and seemed at a loss for words. She sat beside Freya, asking, "What are you busy with?"

"Just some work at the company…" Freya replied.

Grandma Wilson snorted and pointed at Matteo. "If you're busy, you can talk to him. What's he doing here, just sitting around?"

Freya paused, not mentioning her resignation from Wilson Group. She looked at Matteo. Their gazes met. He seemed in a good mood and, hearing Grandma Wilson, didn't mention Freya's resignation, seemingly concerned that Grandma Wilson might insist she return to Wilson Group.

Soon, Grandma Wilson changed the subject, asking them to accompany her for a walk in the garden. After their stroll, Grandma Wilson, clearly tired, said, "I'm going to take a shower and rest for a bit. The soup will be ready later; make sure to drink it."

Freya was about to agree, but realized Grandma Wilson implied she would stay overnight. She looked at Matteo. As if reading her thoughts, Matteo said, once Grandma Wilson was a little farther away, "Grandma said she'll be staying for a while."

"What?" Freya froze.

Matteo didn't elaborate. "I'm going to the study." He headed upstairs without waiting for a response. Isabella came running down, grabbing Freya's hand to play with her Rubik's Cube. Freya spent over an hour with her before Aunt Sara arrived with a bowl of soup.

"Madam, the soup is ready."

"Thank you," Freya said, accepting the bowl. "Mrs. Wilson said to drink it while it's hot."

"I'll drink it now."

Aunt Sara left to take the other bowl to Matteo. Freya drank the soup while urging Isabella to bathe. With Grandma Wilson staying, Freya couldn't sleep in Isabella's room. After Isabella's bath, Freya returned to the master bedroom. Matteo was absent, likely still in the study. Freya still had unfinished work from Johnny, so she quickly responded to a few messages but encountered challenges. While considering how to proceed, she went to the bathroom.

After showering and changing into her sleepwear, she realized she'd forgotten her sleep pants. The clothes she'd removed earlier were damp from washing her face. She paused, thinking Matteo probably wasn't back yet. After hesitating, she opened the bathroom door and stepped out, meeting Matteo's gaze.

Freya felt embarrassed but quickly composed herself. They were still married, and despite recent awkwardness, they had shared a bed many times. She'd never actively tried to seduce him, despite secretly hoping he'd fall in love with her; she'd always assumed it futile. Her usual sleepwear was modest—a loose, two-piece set. Today's was similar—a loose shirt long enough to cover her midriff. Even without pants, she didn't think it looked revealing. She had no intention of provoking him, but to avoid misunderstandings, she quickly said, "I just forgot to grab my pants…"

Although she felt her top was appropriate, she forgot her well-toned, graceful body could make even modest clothing look enticing. The shirt's hemline highlighted her long legs, and her curves were apparent, especially around her hips. Her freshly washed skin glowed, giving off an almost innocent, pure vibe. The combination of her soft, fresh look and the loose shirt gave the impression of wearing a boyfriend's shirt, which was more seductive than any sexy nightwear.
