Like Rex, he, Harry, and Levi usually didn’t have much to do with each other. Harry wouldn’t call him for no reason. Besides, the He family, like the Hardin family, had connections in the political and military circles. They were well-informed.

Johnny asked Freya, “Should I take the call?”

Freya, as Matteo’s wife, knew that people like Harry, who accepted Raven but disregarded her, would naturally feel the same way about her. To Johnny, Harry was even more detestable than Rex.

Freya replied, “Take it.” She didn’t want Johnny to act out of spite.

Johnny answered the call. Just as he expected, Harry, like Rex, was calling to seek collaboration.

Freya understood what he was implying. The Brown family getting the news so early probably meant that Matteo or Harry had leaked it to them. Considering Matteo’s feelings for Raven, and the relationship between Harry and Raven, it wasn’t surprising at all that they would inform the Brown family.

Johnny smirked. His good mood was completely ruined. But he knew that Freya’s mood was probably even worse.

He said, “Let’s go. Senior Brother has plenty of money. Senior Brother will treat you to a big meal!”

Freya’s mood wasn’t as bad as Johnny thought. She had long since learned to let go of many things. Her mood wasn’t easily swayed by those people anymore. Moreover, this time, the initiative was in her hands. She had nothing to worry about. But since Johnny wanted to treat her to a meal, she naturally wouldn’t turn him down.

She smiled, “Thank you, Senior Brother.”

With that, she and Johnny left together.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Freya’s expression remained neutral as she saw the people from the Brown and Green families walking towards them.

Johnny muttered under his breath, “What a small world.”

The Brown and Green families were visibly pleased upon seeing Johnny.

Logan smiled and said, “Mr. Gray, we meet again.”

Johnny gave a faint smile. “Yes, we meet again.”

Logan chuckled and said, “What a coincidence. How about joining us?”

Earlier, when he called Johnny, Logan had already planned to invite him for a meal, and now that they had coincidentally met, he certainly didn’t want to miss this opportunity.

Johnny politely declined, “No, this is my personal time. Maybe next time.”

“Ah… alright, next time then.”

With Johnny saying so, Logan couldn’t insist.

Johnny nodded and said to Freya, “Let’s go.”

Freya nodded and didn’t spare another glance at the Brown and Green families. She followed him upstairs.

Watching their departing figures, Lauren furrowed her brows and murmured, “I heard from Raven that Johnny has been indifferent to her because of Freya. With the Cole project, could Johnny be reluctant to cooperate with us because of her?”

Given Johnny’s cold attitude toward them, this was indeed a possibility.

Janice, with a calm tone, replied, “There’s still some time before the bidding for the Cole projects. Nothing’s settled yet, so anything could happen.”

Miles added with a smile, “Indeed. Earlier, because of Granny Wilson’s interference, things weren’t moving forward with Raven and Frank. Now, suddenly, there’s a breakthrough, right? So don’t be discouraged. We still have chances.”

The “breakthrough” Miles referred to was, of course, the divorce between Matteo and Freya. This was news that they had not known initially. It was only after Levi accidentally mentioned it to Raven that they found out.

Later, they learned that the divorce certificate hadn’t been processed as quickly as expected, and Matteo didn’t want Raven to worry. He planned to wait until the certificate was ready to tell her, as a surprise.

Hearing this, Granny Green smiled and said, “Matteo has always wanted a divorce. Now that Raven was injured while saving him, he no longer cares about Granny Wilson’s objections. He’s resolutely going to divorce Freya. Matteo really does have feelings for Raven.”

“Indeed. Raven’s patience is about to pay off. Her good days are coming.”

“Yes.”

Both Janice and Logan smiled upon hearing this.

However, as they looked in the direction in which Freya and Johnny had just left, Granny Green’s smile faded slightly.
