Chapter 213

Harry fell silent. After waiting for a response that didn’t come, Freya called out again, “Mr. Becker?” She was aware of how busy she had been this week. Given that it was already past nine in the evening, it was clear she must be exhausted, still working overtime. She didn’t have to guess to know that, with Isabella going back to the Wilson family, she wouldn’t be able to spend time with her child tomorrow. But now, Harry was asking her to make time for someone else’s child. It seemed a bit too much.

He said, after a pause, “If you’re tired, you should rest this week. Let’s arrange something another time.” However, Freya didn’t feel too tired. She answered, “It’s alright. We can meet tomorrow.” After a couple of seconds of hesitation, Harry finally said, “Alright.”

Meanwhile, after dinner, the Wilson family was leaving the restaurant when they happened to run into the Hardin family. Reed and Felix were familiar with each other, so they greeted each other warmly. Rex also greeted Matteo, “Mr. Wilson.” Matteo responded, “Mr. Hardin.” Isabella, holding onto Matteo’s hand, looked up and called out to Rex, “Uncle Hardin.” Rex nodded with a smile, “Hello.”

As soon as Rex laid eyes on the Wilson family, he scanned everyone carefully. He noticed that all the Wilson family members present were familiar to him, except for one person—there was no woman whom he could recognize as Isabella’s mother. Had Matteo really divorced her? After a brief exchange with the Hardin family, the Wilson family got back into the car and headed back to the hospital to visit Old Lady Wilson.

That evening, Felix stayed at the hospital to keep Old Lady Wilson company, while Matteo and the rest of the family returned to the old residence. At the old house, as soon as they arrived, Yancy turned to his brother and said, “Brother, don’t tell me you forgot about the autograph from my goddess…” Matteo tossed him the car keys. “It’s in the car. Go get it yourself.” “Thanks, Brother!” Yancy said excitedly as he caught the keys.

Stella, noticing the exchange, asked, “What’s he getting?” Yancy froze for a moment. Matteo smiled and replied, “Nothing.” Yancy, relieved, quickly ran outside to retrieve Raven’s autograph. Stella didn’t press further.

A short while later, Yancy returned, but all he had were a few notebooks, each with the “CC” signature on them. While those were indeed autographed, they weren’t what he was hoping for. He couldn’t help but say, “Brother, what I wanted was one of those signed photos, you know, the kind that goes on a poster and you can hang it on the wall to look at anytime.” Matteo coldly replied, “That’s not something you should have.”

“What’s wrong with it?” Yancy complained. “I just want to hang it on the wall and look at it when I feel like it. I’m not doing anything weird…” Matteo gave him a knowing smile, silent as he looked at his brother. Realizing what that look meant, Yancy sighed and didn’t dare to press the issue. Nonetheless, he had still gotten his goddess’s autograph, and he was happy about that. He immediately sent Raven a message to thank her.

Meanwhile, Isabella came over with her tablet, walking up to Matteo. “Dad, there’s a new animated movie coming out tomorrow. The trailer looks really good. Can we go see the movie?” Matteo responded, “Dad won’t be able to make it…” With Felix back, the old residence would likely have visitors the next morning. He continued, “If you want to go, you can ask your mom to take you.”

Isabella sighed, “Oh…” She had been spending more time with Freya lately and wasn’t as clingy as she had been a few days ago. She said, “What about Aunt Raven? I was thinking of asking her too…” Matteo replied, “Aunt Raven will be busy tomorrow, studying with someone. Don’t bother her.” Isabella felt a little disappointed, “…Alright, I’ll ask Mom.” “Mm.”

Isabella, slightly disheartened, picked up her phone and called Freya. Freya had just returned home and saw the missed call but didn’t pick up. She put her phone aside and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Seeing that Freya didn’t pick up, Isabella thought for a moment, “Mom’s probably busy too.” Matteo glanced at his brother, who was sitting nearby. “In that case, let your little uncle take you.”

Yancy, now fully aware of what was happening, felt a little helpless. He had also planned to go out with his friends tomorrow, but since his brother had helped him get the autograph of his goddess, and seeing how kind she had been when greeting him earlier, he didn’t hesitate to agree. “Fine, I’ll go with her,” Yancy said quickly, before adding under his breath, “As long as she doesn’t bug me too much…”

The next day, around noon, Freya stepped out of the house. It had been quite a while since she had seen Daisy, who had really been missing her lately. When she arrived at the restaurant and entered the private room, as soon as Daisy saw her, she ran over, calling out, “Aunt Freya!” Freya smiled and hugged her. “Daisy, long time no see.”

This was Freya’s first time visiting this restaurant, and as they ate, she realized that every dish was quite delicious and perfectly suited to her taste. Harry had booked movie tickets for a bit after lunch, so once they finished eating, they headed to the cinema to pick up their tickets. Before entering the theater, Daisy asked for popcorn. Harry, as he was about to buy it, asked, “Do you want a large or small one?”

“Large!” Daisy replied enthusiastically. “I’m going to share with Uncle and Aunt Freya!” Harry chuckled. “Alright then.”
