Chapter 219

Freya didn’t speak. Harry, however, had already reached a conclusion. Though he already had an answer in his heart, when it was confirmed, he was still shocked. He looked at Freya, remembering events from the past and recently. He suddenly realized that he had never really understood her.

Freya pursed her lips and finally spoke, “So, you came here early just to tell me this?”

“I was just really shocked and wanted an answer.”

Although Harry had come here this morning, he hadn’t planned to ask her these questions until he saw her. Given their current relationship, he wasn’t sure if it would be appropriate to ask her these questions. But upon seeing her, he couldn’t stop himself from asking. When he asked, he was surprised by his own courage.

Before Freya could reply, Harry looked at her again and said, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone.”

Freya paused. She saw the sincerity in his eyes when he said that. She didn’t speak. Harry took a step back, creating some distance between them, and said, “You go ahead, I won’t disturb you.” With that, he turned and left.

Freya: “…”

She frowned slightly, drove into the underground parking lot, and went upstairs. Afterward, aside from their work, Freya and Johnny tirelessly studied the materials that Nolan had provided them. They almost worked from early morning until past midnight every day.

After more than ten busy days, one morning, Freya had to go to the airport to pick up a business partner. At the airport, after waiting for more than twenty minutes, the person she was waiting for finally arrived. Just as she was about to approach them, she saw a familiar figure behind her business partner.

Seeing Logan, Freya’s expression remained unchanged. Logan didn’t notice her, but a boy of about seventeen or eighteen beside him happily waved towards the other side of the exit. “Mom, sis, Dad and I are here!”

Upon hearing the boy’s words, Freya abruptly stopped, suddenly realizing who he was. Turning her head, she indeed saw Janice and Raven. Sophia and Raven smiled, and Landon Brown ran quickly toward them.

At that moment, Cole’s business partner, Mr. Taylor, walked over with a smile and greeted her. “Miss Miller.” Freya relaxed her clenched fist, withdrew her gaze, and smiled, shaking hands with him. “Mr. Taylor.”

At this point, Sophia and Logan finally noticed Freya. Logan frowned slightly. Janice’s smile faded a little. Raven, on the other hand, remained indifferent, not caring. Unaware of what his parents and sister were looking at, Landon followed their gaze and, upon seeing Freya, was astonished. He had never seen her before, and blurted out, “Such a beautiful lady!”

Raven frowned and glanced at him. Logan paused, patted Landon on the shoulder, and turned away, saying, “Let’s get in the car first.”

Landon looked away and then remembered something, complaining, “Where’s my future brother-in-law? Why didn’t he come to pick up me and Dad? With this attitude, does he really think he can marry my beautiful, outstanding sister? Hmph, I’ll be the first to oppose it.”

Raven smiled and lightly patted his head. “Matteo has an important meeting and couldn’t get away, but he knows you’re coming to the capital, so he canceled an event and booked a private room for you. How’s that? Satisfied?”

“Well, I guess it’ll do.”

Landon looked at Raven, raising his chin proudly. “My sister is so beautiful and outstanding. He should do whatever it takes to marry her!”

Hearing Landon’s words, Raven, Janice, and the others all smiled. At this time, Freya had already finished chatting with Mr. Taylor. The group got into the car. Before they got in, Freya heard someone saying, “What a stunning family of four. Are they celebrities?”

“I don’t know, but their family atmosphere is really great. I’m so envious.”

Freya closed the car door, blocking out the outside noise. She and Mr. Taylor chatted for almost an hour before their car finally pulled up steadily in front of the restaurant near noon.

Just as Freya and Mr. Taylor got out of the car, Logan and his family also arrived. They saw Freya. Logan hadn’t expected her to be eating here as well. He frowned. Raven, knowing what he was worried about, smiled indifferently and signaled him not to worry.

Before Matteo had officially proposed a divorce with Freya, he had hosted her family and, to avoid upsetting Matteo, she had been extremely careful. Now that the divorce was about to be finalized, she was even more cautious.

Logan understood Raven’s meaning. He knew it was better to be safe than sorry. He didn’t want their happy time to be marred by any unpleasant surprises. Freya didn’t look at them. At this time, Johnny also arrived. As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Logan and his family, and noticed Landon. However, Logan and the others had already turned around and headed upstairs, not noticing Johnny, who had just gotten out of the car.

Johnny withdrew his gaze and quickly walked over to greet Mr. Taylor. After exchanging pleasantries with Mr. Taylor, they were about to head upstairs when Matteo arrived. He had just gotten out of the car when Mr. Taylor spotted him and exclaimed in surprise, “Mr. Wilson!”

Matteo saw Freya and Johnny, his expression unchanged. He gave a faint smile and shook Mr. Taylor’s hand as he walked toward him. “Mr. Taylor, when did you arrive in the capital?”

“Just arrived, just arrived.” Mr. Taylor smiled. “Last time, Mr. Wilson mentioned getting together when you had time. I wonder when you’ll be free? How about today evening,”

Matteo replied, “I have a full schedule today. Maybe in a couple of days.”

“Okay, okay, a couple of days works too.”

As Matteo and Mr. Taylor continued to chat, Johnny pursed his lips and muttered softly, “Just got a little peace for half a month, and now we run into them again.”
