It was almost noon when Rowan and Stella insistently arrived at the banquet. As they were about to get out of the car, Rowan’s phone suddenly rang. He scowled and held her hand. "Let’s ignore it."

However, she shook her head and said, "It’s okay. I’ll go in first."

Rowan stared at her for a couple of seconds before slowly nodding. "Alright." He likely assumed it was her family calling, vehemently opposed to her relationship with him. Since it was probably calling about their sudden marriage, Stella figured it would be best not to stay and listen.

When Stella was pulled into the banquet hall by a staff member, several reporters and cameras began rushing towards her. The reporters who had been stationed outside by the Fairchild family immediately got excited. This was breaking news, after all. Stella was now the most talked-about celebrity in Landale. The buzz hadn’t stopped for a second since last night.

She ignored them completely. Since she dared to show up, she had no intention of hiding herself. Surprisingly, the banquet hall wasn’t as brightly lit as she had imagined. In fact, the atmosphere felt strange.

The Fairchilds had been planning this celebration for quite some time to announce Celina’s marital union with the Mo family. However, after Stella caused a scene last night, Celina came home in tears and hadn’t stopped crying since then. Her parents were both furious and heartbroken.

They hadn’t been able to reach Stella, especially since they didn’t know where she was staying. After they were able to track down her whereabouts, they were almost faint with shock when Rowan unexpectedly announced their marriage online.

They were stunned by the news and, for a moment, they didn’t know what to do. Rowan was the sole heir of the Mansfield family. He practically owned the company, and his parents had long since retired and gone off traveling the world. Even the Mo family wouldn’t dare mess with the Mansfields. What chance did they stand?

Hence, the Fairchild family had no choice but to suppress their anger and confront Stella, opting to wait and see how things unfolded. After all, the invitations had been sent long ago.

And now, all the influential families in Landale had shown up. However, the majority were mostly there for the drama. Everyone wanted to know if the Fairchild Family’s eldest daughter, who’d been kicked out, had married into the Mansfield Family. Celina, who was supposed to be the event’s star, was completely overshadowed.

"Did she really marry Rowan of the Mansfield family?"

"Rowan Mansfield? How could they get married just like that?"

"You have connections with the Mansfield family! Why did you not tell anyone about this? Are you afraid we’d stop you?" The Fairchild couple’s faces were stiff and embarrassed as they listened to each guest’s questions.
