Chapter 155

In the live room, viewers buzzed with comments:

[Why does Abby sound so sarcastic?] [What happened in those five minutes while Cynthia was inside?] [Did they end up arguing again? Seems like Cynthia didn’t win this round.]

Cynthia approached Abby with a knowing smile. “Let me guess,” she said. “You ‘accidentally’ turned the flag around, pretended to walk into the wrong tent, and then tried to confess to Jonathan while you had him alone. But if I’m right, he probably kicked you out.”

Abby’s face darkened. “Cynthia, don’t make things up! I didn’t confess to him. I just walked into the wrong tent by mistake.”

Jonathan emerged from the tent, witnessing their argument. He spoke coldly, “Ms. Wilson, didn’t you say I was your favorite out of the four male guests? Was that a lie?”

This exploded the live room chat.

[Whoa, did Abby actually confess?] [Looks like Cynthia was spot-on. She’s incredible!] [Abby did it on purpose. I even rewound my recording, and she’s the one who switched the flag. Such a classic guilty move!] [Abby’s intention was obvious. She knows Jonathan and Nina are together, yet she goes behind her so-called friend’s back to confess. That’s awful!]

Abby’s face flushed red, then paled, visibly thrown by Jonathan’s blunt question. Denying it would likely eliminate any chance she had with Jonathan. Perhaps Jonathan’s refusal was merely a show, and he’d secretly appreciate her attention—after all, what man wouldn’t enjoy the flattery of an attractive woman’s interest?

But admitting it publicly would be humiliating. Weighing her options, Abby decided winning Jonathan was worth the risk. After all, he was her ticket to greater success.

Abby gave Jonathan a shy smile. “Of course, I meant it, Jonathan. It was love at first sight. So… do you—”

Jonathan cut her off, his expression unchanged. “Sorry, I have absolutely no interest. In the future, please keep your distance.”

Abby’s face fell, the confidence she’d had moments before vanishing. She’d thought he might reconsider, but his rejection was colder than she’d expected.

In the live room, viewers laughed at the scene:

[LOL. Wonder if Abby’s face hurts right now!] [Mr. Bennett, that was brutal! Did Abby think he’d be into her at first sight? Dream on!] [Is it just me, or does it feel like Mr. Bennett is humiliating Abby for Cynthia’s sake?] [Definitely just you—didn’t you see Cynthia roll her eyes at Jonathan?]

Abby, furious, stormed into the tent, with Cynthia following. Inside, there were four air mattresses and everyone’s suitcases, nothing else.

1/3 10:30 Fri, Nov 8 Chapter 155

Cynthia opened her suitcase, preparing to change. “Cynthia,” Abby snapped, “why are you always out to embarrass me? Do you have some issue with me?”

As Cynthia quickly changed her clothes, she casually replied, “I have nothing against you.”

“Then why do you keep making me look bad?” Abby had already been humiliated twice that day, both times thanks to Cynthia.

Cynthia finished changing and looked at Abby, unimpressed. “You’re not embarrassed because of me. You’re embarrassed because you keep making dumb choices.” With that, Cynthia left the tent.

Abby was so angry she stomped her foot. But then her gaze landed on the area beneath Cynthia’s air mattress. Abby thought, Cynthia, let’s see if you can keep acting so arrogant after tonight!

After leaving the tent, Cynthia made her way to the beach. Everyone was starving. Preston had constructed a makeshift stove on the sand using sticks, with a fire crackling beneath and a large pot set above it. Inside were various shrimp and a few plump crabs Cynthia had caught earlier. Alex and Ethan were nearby, cracking open coconuts Preston had picked.

Jessie sat on a large banana leaf, her eyes fixed intently on the pot, asking every few seconds, “Is it ready yet?”

Soon, everyone gathered, and with the food cooked, they sat around the fire for their first meal of the day. It was already three in the afternoon.

Jessie took a bite of shrimp and nearly cried. “It’s like relief food finally made it to us!” she exclaimed. “Ethan, you’re our hero!”

Ethan corrected Jessie. “Actually, Cynthia caught all the shrimp and crabs herself. Jonathan and I didn’t really do much.” Jessie looked at Cynthia, joking, “Well, Cynthia, I know who’s getting my Heart Vote.”

Cynthia smiled. She had assumed Jessie was aloof, but she turned out to be down-to-earth, straightforward, and a total foodie.

Nina joined in with praise. “Cynthia, you’re really amazing!”

Alex walked over with a coconut bowl, offering, “Nina, let me peel some shrimp for you, so your hands don’t get messy!”

Nina blushed and tried to decline politely. “Oh, no, that’s okay, Alex. I can do it myself.”

Everyone noticed the moment. Ethan and Jessie exchanged a knowing look, while Cynthia appeared a bit surprised.

From the beginning, Cynthia had sensed Alex had a thing for Nina. But she hadn’t expected him to be so bold. It was obvious Jonathan and Nina were a pair, yet Alex dared to step in.

Jonathan, sitting directly across from Nina, noticed, his brow furrowing.

Alex was a newly popular actor, backed by Betrico Multimedia.

“Nina, come here,” Jonathan called out in a cool, even tone.

Nina quickly stood up and ran over to sit next to Jonathan, looking perfectly obedient as she settled by his side.

Meanwhile, in the live room:

[Jonni is giving us some sweet moments! Does Jonathan get a little jealous?]

Chapter 155

[Alex is seriously bold, so forward in front of Jonathan. I’m here for the drama!] [It’s finally feeling like a dating show! So far, the Jonni are the only two with real chemistry.] [What about the PrexC? They’re the ones with the most chemistry!] [Wait. I’m confused. Who’s PrexC again?] [It’s Preston and Cynthia.]

Preston sat close to Cynthia, chattering enthusiastically. “Cynthia, you worked so hard today—you need to eat more! Next time you go out, can I come with you? Oh, Cynthia, do you know where Ethan’s sunglasses went? And tonight, for your Heart Vote…”

Cynthia cut him off by gently pressing her fingers over his mouth. “Preston, there’s a saying—No talking while eating or sleeping!”

A blush spread across Preston’s cheeks, reaching the tips of his ears. Preston thought, No talking while sleeping? Did she mean… we’d be sleeping together?

Preston lowered his head, pressed his lips together, and after a while, shyly whispered, “Okay, Cynthia.”
