They left together, leaving the dining room noticeably quieter. Only Sam, Ruby, Levi, Keith, Cynthia, and Jonathan remained.

The evening was full of surprises, especially when Cynthia introduced her godparents. Though still processing it, she boldly introduced Jonathan: "Sam, Ruby, this is my husband, Jonathan Bennett."
