Chapter 373 A Situation

Dominic and the rest ducked under the table almost instantly.

Tobias tried to lighten things up by saying, โ€œWell, here we are again so quickly. Must be destiny, huh?โ€

Dominicโ€™s expression stayed grim. โ€œThis isnโ€™t funny. Whatโ€™s really happening?โ€

Tobias grabbed his phone, switched on the flashlight, and dimmed it to the lowest brightness.

โ€œEverythingโ€™s a mess outside. I only caught a few gunshotsโ€ฆ Damn it! No signal at all! I canโ€™t get through!โ€

Dominicโ€™s brows knit together slightly. โ€œThat canโ€™t beโ€ฆ This hotel sits on the edge of Melville, and itโ€™s the best in the area! Their security is flawless! How could this happen?โ€

โ€œIf someone breached protection like that, theyโ€™re seriously dangerous. Weโ€™re not facing random thugs.

โ€œThis place is secluded. With security down, weโ€™re basically trapped. The fallout could be devastating!โ€

Before Tobias could continueโ€ฆ

Bang! Bang!

More gunfire exploded.

Screams pierced the hall.

Click!

The lights flickered on again.

A deep voice roared, โ€œEveryone in the banquet hall, get out here. Now.

โ€œIf we have to drag you, youโ€™ll regret it.

โ€œMy bullets donโ€™t play favorites, and I wonโ€™t be sparing anyone!โ€

Tilda went pale as a sheet. โ€œAre they robbers?โ€

โ€œThese arenโ€™t simple robbers. Anyone bold enough to storm the Hotel Morloss, jam the network, and isolateโ€ฆ thatโ€™s closer to trained militants.โ€

Even Tobias, who was usually the joker, looked stone serious.

This was far beyond what they had imagined.

Nobody couldโ€™ve predicted this!

Who would believe that a banquet at the Hotel Morloss would be ambushed by terrorists?

And the crowd here? They were all wealthy and influential.

Snatching a group with wealth that could rival a nationโ€™s economyโ€ฆ

What was their objective?

โ€œMom, weโ€™re going out.โ€

After weighing it over, Dominic reached a decision.

โ€œDominic, weโ€ฆโ€

โ€œMom, donโ€™t worry. Iโ€™m right here.

โ€œIf killing us was the plan, they wouldnโ€™t go this far just to take over the hotel and corral everyone.

โ€œThey want something specific. Until they get it, our lives arenโ€™t in danger.โ€

Dominic steadied his tone, hoping to settle Tildaโ€™s nerves.

She slowly began to ease up.

Dominic subtly toyed with his watch.

He had hidden a miniature transmitter inside it.

Though known as the eldest Jenson son and CEO of Jenson Group, he also had roots in the underworld.

When it came to survival, one could never carry too many safeguards.

This watch was Dominicโ€™s own design, built with his skills and 80 million dollars.

It held cutting-edge features.

It was prepared for moments exactly like this!

He figured these attackers had skilled hackers in their ranks.

That was why Dominic kept the transmitter discreet.

All he could do now was pray someone could decode his signal.

Thenโ€ฆ

A name surfaced in Dominicโ€™s mindโ€”Tilda.

If it was Tildaโ€ฆ

Sheโ€™d definitely be able to crack it.

Whether she would even want to was another issue.

Truthfully, if she knew, sheโ€™d probably relish the thought of him dying here.

That thought sent a flicker of pain across Dominicโ€™s eyes.

Tildaโ€ฆ

Masterโ€ฆ

Will I ever face you again?

Could you ever forgive me?

Tobias was tinkering with his own watch too.

Sending out a satellite ping.

He kept it discreet, the same as Dominic.

They were clearly thinking alike.

Dominic crawled out from beneath the table with Tilda.

The lights revealed the scene.

Masked men in devil faces, dressed head to toe in gear, clutching AK-47s, had swarmed the place.

There were at least a dozen of them.

With barrels aimed at the crowd and their aura thick with violence, no one dared to breathe too loud.

The doors swung open.

More armed men strode inside.

โ€œThe ones who tried to run have been dealt with.โ€

โ€œSix dead.โ€

โ€œNow, count how many are still in the banquet hall.โ€

One of them raised his AK-47 and let a few shots rip into the ceiling.

Bang! Bang!

Guests turned white with terror.

โ€œCooperate, and youโ€™ll stay alive.

โ€œBut if anyone pulls a stunt, donโ€™t blame me when youโ€™re the next corpse!

โ€œLine up in two rows and hand over all your valuables!โ€

Facing that much firepower, nobody dared fight back.

Dominic and the others passed over their things.

Then each was swept with a metal detector.

One gunman stared at Dominic and spoke coldly, โ€œThe watch. Hand it over.โ€
