Out of the Shadows: Tildaโ€™s Brilliant Second Life

Chapter 550 People Who Donโ€™t Matter

โ€œI have to admit, Russell, your provocation is obvious, but it works well on me,โ€ Tilda finally spoke.

Russell and Wade instinctively glanced at each other.

โ€œSorry, Danc, Mystro, Liam, Rain. You guys go pick a place to hang out for a bit. I need to step out, but Iโ€™ll catch up with you later.โ€

โ€œGot it, Tilda.โ€

Her three seniors seemed to have anticipated her decision all along.

Going to see for herself was probably for the best. At least she wouldnโ€™t regret being so resolutely cold today.

โ€œTilda, are you sure you want to go?โ€

Rain didnโ€™t want Tilda involved with the Jensons.

In Rainโ€™s mind, the Jensons were just as terrible as his own family. They were always forceful, and they had crushed all their emotions.

Tilda reached out and gently touched Rainโ€™s soft, white hair. Her lowered gaze was calm and tender. โ€œDonโ€™t worry. Iโ€™ll be back soon. Listen to them, okay?โ€

Rain nodded quickly. โ€œYes, come back quickly. Donโ€™t give them a chance to hurt you.โ€

โ€œHurt me?โ€

Tilda whispered those words, and a small smile played across her lips.

The smile was slightly mocking, with a hint of disdain.

โ€œOf course not.โ€

Not anymore.

Liam spoke up. โ€œTilda, itโ€™s still early. We can go with you.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s fine. I donโ€™t want to waste your time on people who donโ€™t matter.โ€

People who donโ€™t matterโ€ฆ

Tilda didnโ€™t even emphasize the words, but to Russell and Wade, they sounded sharp and cutting.

It stirred a painful ache in their hearts.

And yet, Russell and Wade found themselves completely unable to argue.

Tilda stepped past her seniors and stood before Russell and Wade.

โ€œRussell, let me compliment you first. You truly are a seasoned veteran. You hit the exact weakness I have in my heart.

โ€œYou know I would never want to be like you. I wouldnโ€™t even want this blood on me. If I could, Iโ€™d drain it and start over. Not that Iโ€™d ever try to kill myself or hurt myself on purpose.

โ€œThe day I severed all ties with the Jensons and left the villa, I made a promise to myself. I would live better than anyone, be happier than anyone, bloom with my own brilliance, and live a life thatโ€™s truly mine!

โ€œThis time, youโ€™d better not regret letting me see Blair. And if anything happens, donโ€™t try to pin the blame on me!โ€

โ€œLetโ€™s go, Tilda. No matter what happens, Iโ€™ll bear the consequences alone.โ€

Russell had made up his mind.

No matter what happened, he knew letting Tilda meet the current Blair was the best choice.

What ifโ€ฆ

There was a tiny chance?

What if Tilda, seeing Blairโ€™s condition, softened and wanted to return to the Jensons?

Even though Russell knew such a hope was incredibly slim, given Tildaโ€™s current attitude, it was like chasing a dream.

But if a person canโ€™t even dream, then whatโ€™s the point of being alive?

In the car, Wade had already told Dominic and the others that Tilda was coming to the hospital to see Blair.

They were completely stunned.

โ€œNo way, Wade! Tildaโ€ฆ Sheโ€™s willing to see Mom?โ€

Chapter 550 People Who Donโ€™t Matter

At first, Dominic and the others thought they were hearing things.

With Tildaโ€™s hatred of the Jensons, how could she care about Blairโ€™s well-being?

โ€œA lot happened. Anyway, Tildaโ€™s coming. Weโ€™re heading to the hospital now.โ€

Wade couldnโ€™t bring himself to mention that Russell had knelt before Tilda to convince her to come.

โ€œAโ€“alright. The doctor just removed Momโ€™s monitors and transferred her to a regular room. They said sheโ€™ll regain consciousness soon.โ€

Dominic paused and asked, โ€œIs Tildaโ€ฆ with you guys?โ€

โ€œShe said she didnโ€™t want to be in the same car as us, so she took a cab. Sheโ€™s following behind. We should reach the hospital in half an hour.โ€

โ€œGot it.โ€

After hanging up, Dominic looked at his five younger brothers. โ€œโ€ฆ Thatโ€™s what the call said.โ€

For a moment, everyone was at a loss for words.

Originally, when Wade told them Russell had gone to ask Tilda to visit Blair, they all thought he was asking for humiliation.

They never expected Russell would actually get her to come.

But now, their hearts felt even more uneasy.

Darell sighed. โ€œHonestly, I almost wish Tilda had just refused. It might have been better if she didnโ€™t come.โ€

โ€œDarellโ€™s right. With Tildaโ€™s attitude toward us, she wouldnโ€™t react kindly no matter how Dad invited her.โ€

โ€œWith Tildaโ€™s temper, I just hope she doesnโ€™t upset Mom. Momโ€™s still weak after barely surviving, and Iโ€™m worried that Tildaโ€™s visit might stress her, making things worse.โ€
