Chapter 557 Kylaโ€™s Flawless Acting

There was not a single feeling left now.

All Tilda could think about was how foolish Blair was.

Her entire life was built on lies.

Oh, right.

This life wouldnโ€™t last long.

Just as Tilda ignored the heart-wrenching mother-daughter drama and turned to leave the ward, Kyla suddenly noticed her and exclaimed, โ€œYโ€“youโ€™re Tilda?! Youโ€™re really Tilda?!โ€

Then she rushed to Tildaโ€™s side, her excitement spilling over. โ€œTilda, itโ€™s really you! I knew you wouldnโ€™t be cruel enough to leave Mom all alone! You came this time because you were worried about her, right?โ€

Kylaโ€™s sudden move caught everyone completely off guard.

Watching Kylaโ€™s flawless performance, Tilda had to admit her expressions and gestures were perfect. But at such close range, she still caught the flicker of hatred and jealousy in Kylaโ€™s eyes.

โ€œYeah, Iโ€™m here to see Blair because I made a deal with Russell. As long as I see Blair and help her wake up, youโ€™ll be kicked out of the Jensons. You wonโ€™t get a single cent. Youโ€™ll be left on the streets, disfigured, living the rest of your life like youโ€™d fallen from heaven straight into hell.โ€

Hearing Tildaโ€™s words, panic flashed in Kylaโ€™s eyes.

The Jensons, who were watching her every move, noticed the shift immediately.

They were not unobservant.

On the contrary, at the top of the social ladder, they had seen countless people in countless situations.

Now that they finally knew Kylaโ€™s true nature, her reaction made everything click into place.

Only then did they realize just how much theyโ€™d missed before โ€“ how blind theyโ€™d been all this time!

โ€œWhat?! Russell, is this true?!โ€

Blair stared at Russell in disbelief.

Just as Russell opened his mouth, Kyla suddenly laughed.

โ€œTilda, you are willing to come back to the Jensons โ€“ thatโ€™s wonderful! I was never truly one of them anyway. To have enjoyed 18 years of their love and affection is already more than enough for me.

โ€œFor an orphan like me, that kind of happiness was too much to ask for. Most people wouldnโ€™t even dare dream of it, yet I lived it for 18 whole years. This identity was yours from the beginning, and now Iโ€™m giving it back to you.

โ€œYou donโ€™t know this, Tildaโ€ฆ ever since you left, Dad, Mom, and our brothers have missed you terribly. Theyโ€™ve always wanted you to come back. If my leaving can ease the knot in your heart and bring you home to the Jensons, then Iโ€™d be happier than anyone. As long as you guys are happy, Iโ€™d be willing to give up everything โ€“ even my life โ€“ without regret.โ€

Her voice wavered with sorrow as she spoke.

Halfway through, she had to stop, draw in a shaky breath, and lift her chin as though to keep the tears from falling.

Her acting was flawless.

Even Tilda almost felt like applauding her.

After all, in the previous life, when this had just started, not even Tilda had spotted the slightest flaw in her performance.

No wonder Kyla aimed for the entertainment industry. With her acting skills, even without the Jensonsโ€™ backing, her sly, calculating nature and talent could carve her a place in that messy, cutthroat world.

Russell felt a little dazed.

Should I just go along with it and kick Kyla out of the Jensons?

Even if Tilda never returns, at least this will lessen her hatred toward us and provide some closure.

In the future, when we meet again, we wonโ€™t clash like enemies, hurting each other.

And with Kyla gone, this suffocating atmosphere will finally disappear. Weโ€™ll have room to breathe.

โ€œNo! I absolutely wonโ€™t allow it!โ€ Blair suddenly exclaimed, her voice tense.

โ€œRussell, are you out of your mind? How can you even agree to Tildaโ€™s terms? Weโ€™ve already lost one daughter, and now you want to force another to die just to make it right? Coughโ€ฆ coughโ€ฆโ€

Russell quickly spoke up, โ€œBlair, donโ€™t be upset! Tilda was only joking. I didnโ€™t agree to that.โ€

โ€œJโ€“joking?โ€

Blair slowly calmed down, confused, and looked at Tilda.

โ€œYeah, Blair, donโ€™t get worked up. Your precious daughter isnโ€™t going anywhere. Sheโ€™ll stay by your side and take care of you her whole life.โ€

Tildaโ€™s mocking words threw Blair, who had just regained consciousness, into a panic. โ€œTilda, y- youโ€™ve got it wrong! Thatโ€™s not what I meant-โ€

โ€œIโ€™m not misunderstanding anything, and honestly, I donโ€™t care what you think. Like I said, Iโ€™ve got nothing to do with you Jensons anymore โ€“ do whatever you want.โ€

Tilda said this and turned to leave.

She pulled out her phone and booked a ride.

She had checked with her seniors for her destination.

She didnโ€™t want to waste any more time. Blair wasnโ€™t going to collapse from shock anyway.

Kyla, pretending to snap out of it, called after her, โ€œNo! Tilda! Donโ€™t go! Iโ€™m the one who should leave! Wait, Tilda!โ€
