Chapter 636 What Itโ€™ll Be Like if We Get Married

Jude threaded his fingers through Tildaโ€™s hair, breathing in the soft, sweet scent. His voice went low and tender. โ€œDo you want to fall asleep in my arms?โ€

โ€œLetโ€™s start by leaning on you first, then Iโ€™ll sleep in your arms later. Youโ€™re already mine, anyway. I can do whatever I wantโ€“do you even have a choice?โ€

Tilda nuzzled against him like a little kitten, her warm, soft body pressing lightly against him, sending thrilling shivers through Judeโ€™s chest.

The scent of her hair was the deadliest drug in the world.

Once it touched him, he could only lose himself, becoming hers completely.

โ€œAlrightโ€ฆ Iโ€™m already yours. Do whatever you want. I wonโ€™t resist.โ€

โ€œWhat? You make it sound like Iโ€™m forcing you. Do I seem that desperate?โ€

Tilda made an exaggerated face.

Am I overthinking? Or is there something suggestive in his tone?

Jude dropped his gaze, his voice thick with longing. โ€œI wish youโ€™d take the lead. It isnโ€™t you whoโ€™s desperateโ€“itโ€™s me.โ€

His warm breath skimmed Tildaโ€™s ear, loosening a stray hair and sending a ripple of goosebumps through her.

She felt a shiver at his teasing nearness, her heart picking up speed. She almost reached up to touch his forehead.

Is this guy running a fever?

Heโ€™s Mr. Bellโ€“the powerful CEO everyone respects. Heโ€™s supposed to be dominant, composed. Why is he acting like a lovesick schoolboy?

Finally, Tilda laughed out loud. โ€œYouโ€™re such a flirt!โ€

โ€œCan I take that as a compliment?โ€

Jude leaned in, his eyes intense and unblinking. Their noses nearly touched, and the little brushes of breath between them made everything electric.

Judeโ€™s face was dangerously captivatingโ€“eyes deep enough to drown in, perfectly arched brows, sharp, sculpted features, high cheekbones, and lips gradually darkening with desire.

โ€œUgh! I canโ€™t hold back anymore!โ€

Tilda gave in. She grabbed his hands and pushed him back onto the couch.

Straddling him, she threaded her fingers through his tie and sank her teeth into his neck.

It wasnโ€™t violentโ€“just a soft, intimate nip between lovers.

Her pale teeth grazed his skin and sent a jolt through him.

In that moment, it felt as though roses were blooming throughout his veins.

Jude let out a low, rough grunt.

It was as if Tilda had planted herself inside him, a flower rooting through his blood. There was no escapeโ€“and he didnโ€™t want one.

All Jude wanted was to give himself over to her, a ruler undone by beauty, helpless beneath the spell of her smile.

When Tildaโ€™s playful โ€œpunishmentโ€ ended, he sat up, licking his lips with a teasing grin.

โ€œThatโ€™s it?โ€

Jude still looked unsatisfied.

She only nibbled like a kittenโ€“why stop so soon? She shouldnโ€™t hold back.

โ€œIโ€™m not a vampire,โ€ Tilda said with a huff.

Jude pulled her close, cradling her like a priceless treasure with a possessive curve on his lips.

โ€œOf course, you can only bite me and drink my blood.โ€

โ€œYeah, yeah, yeahโ€ฆ our blood types are rare, and weโ€™re bound together. If I drank anyone elseโ€™s, Iโ€™d probably throw up.โ€

A little teasing broke the tension; the charged air relaxed into laughter.

โ€œDid your trip to the abbey go well today?โ€ he asked.

โ€œWhat happens at an abbey? I went to a place called Serenity Abbey.โ€

Tilda had only texted Jude that she was headed to the countryside to pray; she hadnโ€™t named the place.

She watched him as she spoke.

Sure enough, when she said โ€œSerenity Abbey,โ€ his expression shifted, just slightly.

Tilda noticed and let out a quiet breath.

I knew itโ€”Jude knows Devin is at Serenity Abbey. He still cares about his father.

That makes sense. No matter how ruthless he seems, family ties run deep. Even he canโ€™t completely ignore them, especially given Devinโ€™s situation.

She wasnโ€™t sure whether Jude understood Devinโ€™s worries, but she knew she couldnโ€™t yet tell him the whole truth about Devin leaving Jude in Abramโ€™s care as a child.

This time, Tilda made up her mind.

โ€œSo, Jude โ€ฆ have you ever thought about what it would be like if we got married?โ€
