Chapter 76: They Have No Right

Even though he couldnโ€™t undo the past, Wade still wanted to fix a few things, especially the lawsuit with the Jensons. Being a Jenson, he couldnโ€™t just sit there after hearing what Tilda and Andy had said.

Suddenly, Tilda stood up, holding her wine glass. Wade thought maybe sheโ€™d softened and wanted to settle things. He looked excited. โ€œTildaโ€“โ€

But before he could speak, she splashed the drink straight onto his face. The whole bar went silent.

Tildaโ€™s table was already in the spotlight, while Wade was the one who had approached her. Everyone knew Wade as a regular at Nightingale Bar and the ownerโ€™s brotherโ€™s best buddy. But heโ€™d just had a drink thrown right in his face. Holy crap. That was a huge scene!

Wade didnโ€™t see it coming. He just froze, staring at her. Cold liquid ran down his face, soaking his clothes. Humiliating stains spread over his shirt.

Andy whistled, clearly impressed by Tilda. Now that was the Tilda he knewโ€“the queen of the dark web!

โ€œTsk, if Iโ€™d been in heels tonight, Iโ€™d have dumped the entire drink on your head. That wouldโ€™ve been way more fun,โ€ Tilda clicked her tongue. What a pity. She couldnโ€™t go all the way and had to settle for just splashing the drink on Wadeโ€™s face. The height difference meant she couldnโ€™t dump the whole glass on him.

โ€œTilda, are you insane?!โ€ Clive finally snapped, glaring at her.

โ€œYou two are the crazy ones. Think I care about what you have to say? What a joke! Security! Someone is harassing me! Come over here!โ€ Tilda called out to the barโ€™s security. Nightingale Bar didnโ€™t disappoint. The moment she yelled, the staff rushed over. But when they saw Wade and Clive, they hesitated, unsure what to do.

โ€œTilda, stop playing the victim! Youโ€™re the one who threw the drink! Do you even realize how humiliating that is for him?โ€ Clive was fuming.

โ€œHumiliating? Please. He knows exactly what heโ€™s doing. Weโ€™re done with each other, but he keeps coming after me! I treat him like he doesnโ€™t exist, yet he keeps calling my name. Itโ€™s gross! If that isnโ€™t harassment, what is? Wade, youโ€™re just shameless and pathetic. Donโ€™t expect me to get along with you!โ€ Tilda didnโ€™t hold back, her words cutting deep.

Still, it barely scratched the surface. This kind of humiliation and revenge was barely satisfying. It didnโ€™t compare to everything Wade put her through in just 15 days. Who knew how much courage it had taken to chop off her beloved long hair? How painful that decision had been! Tilda still remembered her trembling hands and broken heart as she held the scissors.

At that time, Wade had said, โ€œI hate long hair. Youโ€™re ugly. Get lost.โ€ So, she cut her hair just to please him. But then, Wade turned and gently stroked Kylaโ€™s long hair right in front of Tilda, looking all tender and loving. โ€œKyla, your long hair is amazing. Unlike that ugly freak who tries to copy it, youโ€™re the most beautiful.โ€ Tilda didnโ€™t need a mirror to know how pale and crushed she looked. It felt like her heart was in a vice. She felt it was hard to breathe. Still, she forced a smile and said, โ€œKylaโ€™s hair is indeed beautiful.โ€

How cruel was that?

Not to mention all the times she tried to be close to him. Heโ€™d ignore her, freeze her out, make her cry. All of that happened in just 15 days. But in her previous life, Wadeโ€™s cruelty lasted five years. Day after day, coldness piled up. Nobody could imagine what she endured. Compared to her suffering, Wadeโ€™s current feelings were nothing. He wanted to compare pain to hers?

The Jensons had no right. None of them deserved it.

Andy watched, his green eyes full of amusement. Heโ€™d worried Tilda might go easy on Russell or feel guilty about her family. Even if she talked tough, maybe sheโ€™d hesitate if things got messy. But now, he realized heโ€™d been overthinking. Tilda was deadly serious. The Jensons had made her furious. She wasnโ€™t going to give them another chance or any mercy. Andy could finally act and get justice for her.

Clive was shaking with anger. Right now, only one thought ran through his mind.
