Chapter 107: Sophia Is Useless
โLivi, weโre in the same class. When you first transferred to our school, you said I was your best friend. Could it beโฆ after you met Hudson, you didnโt want me as your friend anymore?โ Sophia looked at Olivia with a face full of dismay. She didnโt dare direct her anger at Hudson, but her words were laced with accusations that Olivia had abandoned her after befriending someone richer.
She added, โLivi, I know my family isnโt as wealthy as the Sullivan family, butโฆ I really saw you as my best friend.โ
Olivia glanced at Sophia. โAre you saying youโre my best friend?โ
โIsnโt that true?โ Sophia replied.
Olivia smirked. โWhere do I live?โ
Sophia froze. โUhโฆ you never told meโฆโ
Olivia continued, โThen whatโs my favorite food? Whenโs my birthday? Why did I enroll in the performing arts program? You should know these, right?โ
These simple and straightforward questions came one after another. Any friend would know these facts, never mind a best friend. Still, Sophia opened her mouth and couldnโt answer a single one. How would she know what Oliviaโs favorite food was? How could she possibly remember Oliviaโs birthday? In her eyes, Olivia was nothing more than a tool!
โYou call yourself my best friend, but you donโt know what I like or when I did something important?โ Olivia asked, her smirk unwavering.
Since Sophia dared to pretend to be her best friend, Olivia didnโt mind tearing her apart bit by bit in front of the Sullivan family. Olivia had thought of humoring Sophiaโs claim and had shared everything with her. If Sophia could answer even one of these questions, Olivia would let her keep up the act.
Unfortunatelyโฆ Sophia was utterly useless!
Sophiaโs face turned pale. Never having seen Olivia as a real friend, she hadnโt bothered to remember anything Olivia had said. All these unanswered questions were like merciless slaps to her face.
Just moments ago, she had confidently told Valeria how close she was to Olivia, but now her lies were exposed. Hudsonโs parents werenโt fools. Now, they had a clear understanding of the situation.
โPlease see these two out,โ Gavyn said coldly.
Frank, his face full of shame, was escorted out of the private room alongside Sophia. He was so angry that he wished he could strangle his daughter to death on the spot. He had thought this was a golden opportunity to establish connections with the Sullivan family, but who could have expected this to happen?
Not only had they failed to leave a good impression on the Sullivan family, but they were also forced out. How could they engage in further business with the Sullivan family in the future?
Outsideโฆ
โVonโฆ something! Didnโt you have a great relationship with Hudson Sullivan? Look at yourself! From the moment you entered the room, did Hudson even glance at you? And weโre not even getting to Olivia. She doesnโt even know you, yet you claim to be her best friend? You donโt care about embarrassing yourself, but I do! How did I end up with such a useless daughter?โ
The more Frank thought about this fiasco, the angrier he became. After today, it would be almost impossible to collaborate with the Sullivan Group in the future!
Sophia wept as she held her blushing face, her eyes filled with hatred. Itโs all Oliviaโs fault! She started everything!
If Olivia hadnโt said she didnโt know her, Hudson wouldnโt have followed suit. She wouldnโt have ended up like this! How could a country bumpkin like Olivia dare to humiliate her like this? She would never let Olivia off the hook!
