Chapter 123: Does It Look Good?

Looking at Alexander, Georgina truly felt that, aside from herself, no woman in the world was worthy of him. A country bumpkin like Olivia wasn’t even worthy of helping him with his shoes!

“You’re back,” Alexander said, glancing at Georgina, his handsome face showing no particular emotion.

Georgina replied, “I just got back and bought some gifts from Falcrest, so I thought I’d visit and personally deliver them to Mr. Liam and Ms. Carter…” She didn’t need to bother with that bumpkin. As long as Alexander wasn’t interested in her, she had plenty of ways to break them apart. Such a man was not someone Olivia deserved.

Upon seeing the way Georgina’s eyes lit up as she stared at Alexander, Olivia slowly curved her lips into a faint smile.

“Darling, don’t you think this brooch is beautiful?” Olivia cheerfully took out the gift Georgina had given her and walked over to Alexander’s side. The word “Darling” immediately darkened Georgina’s face. Since when did Olivia start calling Alexander “Darling”?

Upon watching Olivia’s sudden enthusiasm, Alexander had a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes. Every time Olivia called him “Darling,” it was never for anything good. Before he could speak, Olivia naturally looped her arm through his. Alexander’s gaze slowly fell on Olivia’s hand resting on his arm.

Olivia whispered, “If you don’t want to upset Grandpa, let’s just go along with this and act, all lovey-dovey.” The corner of Alexander’s mouth twitched slightly. With Liam present, he could only allow Olivia to keep her arm around him as they sat on the couch.

Georgina had expected Alexander to push Olivia away in disgust, but instead, he had silently allowed her to get so close. For a moment, Georgina was greatly shocked. In the past, Alexander had always shown clear disdain for Olivia, refusing even to get close to her. What’s changed now?

Vance, still thinking of using Alexander to help Olivia secure her contract, chimed in, “Alex, aren’t you going to help Olivia put on such a pretty brooch?” Olivia silently gave Vance a thumbs-up.

Although she had no romantic feelings for Alexander anymore, that didn’t mean she wouldn’t enjoy causing trouble for Georgina. In her past life, Georgina had made her life miserable; if she didn’t get some revenge this time, there would be no point.

“Darling, could you put it on for me?” Olivia winked at Alexander. Liam watched with a smile, enjoying the sight of Alexander and Olivia looking so harmonious. Alexander looked at Olivia, unsure of what she was up to now.

Thinking about what Olivia had just said, he took the brooch, expressionless, and pinned it to Olivia’s pure white t-shirt. Watching this, Georgina clenched her fists so tightly in frustration that she nearly broke her nails. Isn’t Alexander supposed to dislike Olivia?

“Does it look good?” Olivia looked down at the expensive brooch on her chest.

“It doesn’t look good,” Alexander answered honestly.

“It doesn’t look good?” Olivia tilted her head.

Alexander replied, “The brooch doesn’t suit you.” A t-shirt worth twenty bucks from a street vendor paired with a five-figure diamond brooch looked utterly ridiculous.

“But this brooch was a gift from Ms. Georgina. She said she thought it would suit me, which is why she gave it to me,” Olivia said, looking puzzled, then turned to Georgina. “Ms. Georgina is a jewelry designer. Could it be that her taste is off?”

Georgina’s face froze. She couldn’t have possibly given Olivia something that actually suited her. The brooch was meant to irritate Olivia. She never imagined it would make her taste look questionable instead!
