Chapter 204: Slapping in the Face

Just a moment ago, Christian had proudly declared he would give Amelia the best. Yet, in the blink of an eye, his so-called best gift was distributed to every actor and director in the room!

Christian’s expression turned sour almost instantly.

“This is…” Willow stared in shock at the watch in her hands. Her status was far above Olivia’s, yet she had never encountered such a generous fan!

“Wow, Olivia, who sent these? They’re so extravagant!” Chris asked, astonished.

Olivia replied, “I’d like to know too.”

When did I ever have such a wealthy fan? Ten or so watches, totaling over ten million! Her heart bled at the thought. Wouldn’t it have been better if they just gave me the money?

Daisy, noticing something peculiar, examined Amelia’s watch and compared it to Olivia’s. Suddenly, she pointed out a difference:

“Olivia, are you so desperate to save face that you’d resort to this?” Daisy sneered.

The group instinctively turned to Daisy. Holding Olivia’s watch alongside Amelia’s, she pointed out the discrepancy in the clasps.

“These two watches may look similar, but the clasp on Olivia’s is different. It’s obvious Olivia’s is fake.”

The room fell silent for a moment.

“Amelia, don’t bother with counterfeit goods,” Daisy said dismissively, tossing the “fake” watch toward Olivia.

“A fake? I knew it. How could Olivia possibly have fans rich enough to give something like this?” Willow chimed in, immediately returning her own watch.

Several other actors followed suit, returning their gifts. Only Jos, the screenwriter, and Chris, who had a good relationship with Olivia, kept theirs.

“What does it matter if it’s fake or real? It’s the thought that counts,” Chris said.

“The thought? Please. This is just someone trying to grab attention,” Daisy sneered, casting a glance at Olivia. With a mocking smile, she added, “Mr. Christian just gave Amelia a Lover’s Bridge. So, Olivia, did your fan have psychic powers or a tip-off? How else would they coincidentally prepare the exact same watches? It’s laughable. But unfortunately, fakes are still fakes. The moment they’re compared to the real deal, they fall apart.”

“Exactly! Who uses counterfeits to make a scene? And the timing of this is just too suspicious,” Daniel chimed in.

He had been Olivia’s manager for years and had never known her to have such wealthy fans.

As soon as Daniel finished speaking, the server who had delivered the watches frowned, visibly displeased.

“Pardon me, but I believe there’s been a misunderstanding,” the server said, stepping forward.

Daisy gave him a glance and turned to Olivia. “So you even hired someone to put on a show for you. Olivia, you’re really something.”

The server frowned slightly. “Miss, these watches were all brought over from our store. You claim they are fake, but do you have any evidence?”

Daisy responded, “Isn’t it obvious? The logo on the clasp is different. You’re probably just a hired actor, aren’t you? This is none of your business; you can leave now.”

“Hired actor?” The server’s face turned dark. “I’m sorry, I am the general manager of Starlight Mall. These watches were recently ordered by our client and purchased directly from the Velmont & Arches boutique.”

As he spoke, the server took out his business card and the purchase receipt.

“If anyone has any objections, feel free to investigate my identity and the authenticity of the receipt. The difference in the logos is because the watch this lady is wearing is an older model, while our client ordered the latest version.”
