Chapter 234: Who Is Your Mommy Now?

The corners of Franklin’s mouth twitched. He hadn't expected Olivia to remain so determined, so stubborn, with so little time left on the clock.

“Oh? Show me how much further yours can stretch. With just three minutes to go, let’s see you escape from there,” Franklin snorted coldly at Olivia.

“Or, are you still placing your hopes on that missing friend of yours? Didn’t you hear the announcement just seconds ago? Your friend is nowhere to be found. Then again, it’s understandable; he’s a newbie, and this is his first time in a variety show, but he got a total dud as his teammate.”

Franklin had plenty of experience in variety shows, but he was also well-known for having a sharp tongue. Shawn and the other three disliked him intensely. However, it was undeniable that Franklin did indeed have a knack for games. They were hoping Olivia would emerge as the winner, which would deliver a strong blow to Franklin’s esteem. But it was beyond their expectations that Olivia would end up failing.

“As of right now, the gold in our possession cannot be snatched away, am I right?” Olivia spoke up, ignoring Franklin completely.

The host paused in surprise, then answered, “That’s right.”

Franklin smirked and said, “Oh, don’t you worry, if you do get out of there successfully, no one will even try to snatch your gold. You’ll be the queen of this episode!”

With how things were at that moment, Olivia had no chance of turning the tide. Unless the two NPCs turned rogue and released her!

Just when everyone believed that Franklin was the winner, Olivia casually walked over to the door of the cell.

“Open the door.”

Everyone paused for a moment; their eyes fell on her. Franklin stared at Olivia as if her brain had been damaged.

“Did this loss shock you so hard that you lost your mind too? Who’s going to open the door for you?”

However, just as Franklin uttered those words, a voice suddenly boomed.

“Yes, Your Highness.”

The door to the cell swung open as soon as that voice sounded. What was more, the person who unlocked it was none other than one of the two NPCs that guarded it.

Who would have imagined that someone from the NPCs would betray their own kind, even after Olivia had messed them all up so badly! Even the other NPC, who stood guard before the cage, recoiled in shock upon seeing his own mate set that witch free.

What’s going on? When did he get brainwashed? Why did I fail to notice it?

“Cheating! This is cheating! How can an NPC make the decision to release Olivia?” Franklin was utterly mind-blown. “This is completely against the rules of the game! Olivia’s score is invalid!” He continued.

Even the host was dumbfounded; no one was expecting such a plot twist. Just as everyone was trying to wrap their heads around the situation, Olivia suddenly raised her hand and grabbed the mask of the NPC that had released her.

“Who said he is an NPC?”

The mask came off, and “Eugene’s” handsome face came into sight once more. Everyone was dumbfounded.

What the hell? They can do that? Franklin was completely at a loss; he stared at “Eugene’s” face in disbelief. It was beyond his imagination that the complete newbie he had completely dismissed as a threat would be able to work with Olivia to carry out such a plan so flawlessly!

He disguised as an NPC? What kind of bloody idea is this? When did Eugene even merge into the NPCs?

Olivia was beaming as she watched Franklin’s face contort with frustration.
