Rebirth of a Runaway Actress: Career First, Love Second

Chapter 261: Isnโ€™t Olivia Better Than Men?

Kyson and his crew, who had declared their intent to seek revenge, were already dry-throated. Forget everything else; just on stamina alone, there was no chance they could win.

โ€œWhy does it seem like Felix is slowing down?โ€

โ€œBe confident. Drop the โ€˜seem like Oliviaโ€™s about to lap him.โ€™โ€

โ€œTsk tskโ€ฆ Felixโ€™s face is about to hit rock bottom.โ€

In no time, Olivia completed the 20-kilometer run. The timekeeper glanced at the stopwatch, stunned beyond words. Whitney and Joycelyn immediately rushed up to her, one wiping her sweat and the other offering her water, more attentive than if they were doting on their boyfriends.

A few minutes later, Felix dragged himself across the finish line. His face was completely dark with frustration. He had pushed himself to the limit and still couldnโ€™t even come close to Olivia. When she lapped him, it felt like the most humiliating moment of his life.

โ€œHow long did I take?โ€ Felix demanded.

โ€œOne hour, 12 minutes, and 36 seconds,โ€ the timekeeper replied.

โ€œAnd her?โ€ Felix asked, his brows furrowing.

The timekeeper hesitated before answering, โ€œOne hour, 4 minutes, and 1 second.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re sure thereโ€™s no mistake?โ€

โ€œI swear there isnโ€™tโ€ฆโ€ The timekeeper looked close to tears. That was nearly a world record!

Felixโ€™s expression turned as dark as soot.

โ€œIs this enough for you?โ€ Olivia asked, arching an eyebrow at Felix.

He couldnโ€™t reply. Regret hit him hard. Why had he insisted on racing? All heโ€™d done was humiliate himself, practically throwing his dignity on the ground to let Olivia trample over it.

โ€œTake a break. Afternoon training resumes after lunch!โ€ Felix tossed out the order and stormed off. Losing to a woman, and a celebrity no less, this was the ultimate humiliation for me!

With Felix gone, the students finally exhaled a sigh of relief. Whitney and Joycelyn flanked Olivia, eagerly linking arms with her as they led her to freshen up. โ€œLivi, youโ€™re amazing! Felixโ€™s face earlier was priceless! You really taught him a lesson and stood up for all of us!โ€

After freshening up, Olivia joined the students at the cafeteria. Whitney and Joycelyn transformed into her attendants. One fetched her food, the other grabbed the side dishes, pampering Olivia like an empress. They remembered how earlier, after running themselves sick, none of the male guests even cared. But Olivia had stepped in for them. Though they knew relying on others wasnโ€™t ideal, being saved by a heroโ€ฆ

โ€œLivi, have some soup.โ€

โ€œOlivia, try this drumstick!โ€ Whitney and Joycelyn took turns, feeding Olivia nonstop, not even letting her pick up her own chopsticks.

The military academy boys, many of whom were fans of Whitney and Joycelyn, looked on with envy. Watching their idols feed Olivia, they wished they could trade places with her utensils.

By the time lunch ended, Oliviaโ€™s victory over Felix had become the talk of the cafeteria. The boys who once envied her quickly fell silent. A 20-kilometer run in one hour, 4 minutes, and 1 second? That kind of speed was beyond human. They realized they couldnโ€™t compete.

After lunch, it was time for the afternoon training. Just as the guests braced for more of Felixโ€™s antics, they received startling news.

โ€œWhat? Combat drills in the afternoon?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re kidding, right? We have to participate too? Isnโ€™t that just setting us up as punching bags for the students?
