Chapter 311: The Girl I Came to Rescue

The male leads had practically been finalized for Legacy of the Dynasty, and there was only one remaining supporting female role. The female celebrities close to Olivia were Whitney and Joycelyn. However, Starlit Entertainment had issued a ban on her. Even if they agreed to join the project, their agency would restrict them, and Starlit might even try to sabotage them.

Olivia couldn’t understand why Starlit Entertainment was so ruthless, just because she refused to sign with them. But this situation made her realize one thing: If she wanted to take on Starlit, she needed her own team.

“I guess I need to sign a few artists,” Olivia said, rubbing her chin.

She searched through her memories from her past life. Suddenly, a face flashed into her mind.

“Got it!” Olivia quickly came up with an idea. She grabbed her glasses, hopped in her car, and drove straight to St. Rona Academy.

With graduation nearing, many of the drama students had already signed with big agencies. These wealthy kids had abundant resources and wouldn’t face trouble making it in the entertainment world.

Mia sat at her desk, once admired by everyone, but now pushed aside by the younger girls she had once been friendly with. The Davis family had fallen into bankruptcy, and Mia’s status had plummeted. During this time, she really began to understand what Olivia had gone through in the past.

“Mia, you’re handling the cleaning today,” a girl said with a glance, speaking in a superior tone. Mia stood up silently, grabbing the trash can, and walked out of the room while the others mocked her.

In the hallway, Jason was boasting to his friends about his recent success with flirting and picking up girls. When he saw Mia, he immediately blocked her way.

“Hey, Mia, have you thought about my proposal?” Jason grinned at her.

Mia frowned as she looked at Jason, her former fiancé. “What proposal?”

Jason shrugged. “Your family’s bankrupt, and our engagement is broken, but since we were once close, I’m not heartless,” he said, handing her a hotel key card in front of his friends. “I heard your father’s been ill. If you change your mind, meet me in this room tonight. I’ll take care of your father’s medical bills.”

Jason’s blunt words triggered laughter from the group of guys. Mia had once been the most popular girl in the drama department. But now, this former star was nothing more than a subject of ridicule. Mia stared at Jason in disbelief. She never imagined her former fiancé could be so disgusting.

“Get away from me!” Mia threw the key card at Jason’s face.

Jason’s expression darkened immediately after the public rejection.

“Don’t get too full of yourself, Mia. Do you still think you’re the young lady from the Davis Group? Your family’s ruined! If I didn’t still find you attractive, do you think I’d waste my time with you? Stop acting so high and mighty. Women like you; I can get as many as I want…”

Jason, frustrated by his repeated failures to win Mia over, felt even more irritated now that the Davis family’s influence was gone. What was Mia worth now?
