Chapter 317: Not You, The Other Olivia
Zayn couldnโt help feeling uneasy. Budget-wise, Legacy of the Dynasty wasnโt in the same category as Tears of Rivers. Although Olivia had recruited students from Borealia Military Academy as extras and assembled a team of stunningly attractive actors, the cost of costumes was a glaring problem. He worried Olivia might stubbornly push herself too far.
โOlivia, I understand how much you want this project to succeed. We can rent outfits for the extras, but the lead actorsโ costumes are a major issue. To achieve the same level of detail as Tears of Rivers, weโd need several million dollars. Itโs simply not possible,โ Zayn explained.
Olivia rubbed her chin in thought. Clashing schedules? Thatโs just part of the plan.
โDonโt worry, Mr. Zayn. Focus on the script. Iโll take care of the rest,โ she said confidently. After a bit more discussion, Olivia ended the call.
She opened her laptop, browsed through historical materials, and then grabbed her car keys and left. She sent a message to everyone, rescheduling the planned meeting from the next day to three days later.
Three days later, Zayn arrived with the completed script for the opening scenes. Olivia had also invited Mia, Eugene, Louis, Benjamin, and Lucas to the meeting. Zayn had been struggling with casting until now. When he walked into the room and saw the lineup of gorgeous men and women, he was stunned.
Other than Louis, the only familiar face was Eugene, who had previously appeared on the Tobie variety show. Eugeneโs appearance on that show had already caused waves among directors. His flawless face alone was enough to send film crews scrambling to sign him. But Eugene was under Zenith Entertainment, which consistently blocked every offer he received. No production had ever succeeded in hiring him.
Zayn never thought Olivia could convince someone like Eugene to join. Despite his extensive experience working with actors, Zayn found Eugeneโs commanding presence so intense that he didnโt dare speak casually.
On top of that, there was one young woman and two young men who were equally striking, carrying an aura of nobility that caught Zayn off guard. Though Zayn was the director, these three seemed completely at ease in his presence, while he felt awkward and restrained, like he had accidentally stumbled into a gathering of the elite. Where did Olivia even find these people?
Before long, Olivia arrived, pushing open the conference room door. As soon as she entered, every eye in the room turned to her. Today, Olivia wasnโt wearing her glasses and showed up with a natural, makeup-free look.
When Benjamin, Lucas, and Mia realized the person entering was a famous celebrity, their curiosity spiked. They couldnโt help but marvel at how much more stunning she looked in person and wondered why Olivia had invited someone with the same name.
โIs everyone here?โ Olivia asked.
Jared was about to confirm when Lucas blurted out, โWait, Olivia isnโt here yet.โ
The moment Lucas said this, the others, except Benjamin and Mia, gave him baffled looks. Heโs handsome but a bit slow, isnโt he?
Lucas, noticing the stares, quickly clarified, โOh, I didnโt mean you. I meant the Olivia who owns this company.โ
